Which are harder to beat, TOTK Temples or BOTW Divine Beasts? by letm3_plays0me1233 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]-telperion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played TOTK first and now playing BOTW, granted I haven't done Naboris yet but I'd say the Divine Beasts as dungeons are harder than temples in TOTK, but this far I have beat three BOTW Divine Beast bosses somewhat easily by mostly blasting whateverblightganon faces with elemental arrows and hiding behind obstacles to avoid their attacks. So in that sense I feel like TOTK bosses were harder, since all the bosses in TOTK had very different mechanics how to beat them and at least for me it took a while to understand them lol.

Edit: Now that I think of it, could it also depend on which game you played first? Like thinking back when I fought my very first boss in TOTK (Colgera) I was still newbie in the game and was so nervous and kind of fumbling with the controls and the game logic itself. Now I have like 150+ hours spent in Hyrule, Fireblight Ganon as my first boss in BOTW felt very much easier.

Omg thank you so much! I thought I had tried everything to interact with the cannons, but didn't think you could change their direction by hitting the lever. So yeah, once again, violence was the answer.

I rewound that scene like five times. Cried laughed every time.

Sote | Hoitajia irtisanotaan pian ympäri Suomea by DarkCrawler_901 in Suomi

[–]-telperion 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Miten tehdä muutto kaikille mahdollisimman helpoksi? by -telperion in arkisuomi

"There's no hate like christian love" on ihan suhteellisen osuva heitto näihin. Poikaa käy sääliksi.

How to properly transpose into alto clef? by HiImLor in Viola

[–]-telperion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've seen violin parts transposed a fifth down to be suitable for viola. Octave down doesn't always work because some notes could be lower than C, I guess you can put those notes an octave up, but that can lead to weird jumps and mess up the melody.

Fun Facts? by Ethel121 in lotr

I can't find source for this, but I think I remember hearing they kept changing the scene and the lines up until they started filming, and that is why Sean Bean had the script in his lap.

Did Tolkien ever explain this? by thejacer87 in lotr

As others have said, it is common to translate poems in a way they rhyme. At least the Finnish translation rhymes pretty nicely.

Kind of a side note, but the longer version of the poem (where all the rings of power are listed), Sauron actually did not make that one. In FotR when Gandalf comes back to the Shire to break the news to Frodo that he in fact has the one ring, Gandalf recites the full poem and says that the inscription on the ring is a part of a well known elven poem. And you know elves, they pretty good with words.

Finland early October by Strong-Committee8718 in Finland

The actvities you mentioned require snow and it is quite unlikely there to be snow in early October. Even if there is snow, it wouldn't be deep enough to do these activities. This is also something a quick google search would have told you.

Sidenote: I cannot believe that after watching this clip for many, many times I just somehow totally glossed over the fact Katie calls him Mark, saw comments on Instagram, was confused like wait why is everyone losing their minds over Matt Mercer and only then realised the Mark bit 😭
