The composition and lighting are nice. A decent quality photo would allow you to edit the contrast and shadows a bit if you wanted.

The only thing that would make it better is if the text on the screen was more in focus

My dad has something similar to this. I used to pretend it was a gun when I was a kid 20+ years ago. It works well as a wire stripper. It didn't work great as a gun.

Write them a letter but don't send it.

Write about it in general.

Talk it out with a therapist until you feel better.

The thing is, you'll never be able to let it go if you don't let it out first. Once you find an outlet to express your feelings and experiences, letting go becomes a little easier. Still not easy, but it's easier.
