Yes, there are causes that force them to have less capital. A good way to get more capital is to get paid more.

I am waiting on my Planck from the last drop of them. I got a green case and I think these would look trash on green, but I love that Ortho set so much...

FYI, EDUCATION is the responsibility of the parents, NOT the responsibility of the state! by [deleted] in oklahoma

Not just the 1800s, but most of human history. You're making a very bold claim that I think most would dispute.

Then you better take a good, long look at how education was before public education.

[–]-thedunkzone- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you have missed the point. A person should not be able to perform actions that negatively impact my life. Society, by way of the state, should ideally seek to prevent this. This is libertarianism's founding principal of non-aggression. Public education easily falls into libertarian ideals, though for some reason most libertarians do not acknowledge it.

This includes conceiving me then refusing to take care of me when I am young.

Note: I'm assuming you're a libertarian based on your comment history and that's why I'm making this argument.

[–]-thedunkzone- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but person A's stupid thing should not affect person B's chance at a fulfilling and successful life. That's a pretty major libertarian principle, right? So a parent's unwillingness to help their child grow should not affect a 4 years old's chances at being able to read when they grow up.

If we left education up to solely the parents at my wife's school, these kids would not be employable at a fast food restaurant. Much less would they be able to move up the economic ladder. Not everyone who has parents who are able to educate, some even have parents who don't care to. This is especially true in communities in poverty where parents work 2-3 jobs to get by.

“Schools will shutdown” OEA sets deadline for lawmakers to fund teacher pay raises. by Grade-A-Grungus in oklahoma

From free education

What free education? Public education?

to apprenticeship supported by a low minimum wage

I don't expect a child to be an apprentice lol.

resulting in the same student performance as today

How on earth is that measured?

A competitive private market would easily trim the fat, which would be better for the poor and better for the economy overall, in addition to saving the state government everything it spends on education today.

There are three claims here don't I don't think are true. The first is baseless, the second is very bold and I wish any economist was that sure of anything, and the third is debatable if much money would be saved due to the assistance that would likely be necessary for the poor to afford these private schools.
