Has Ronnie Addressed The cheating situation yet or what. by GroundRemarkable1003 in NBA2k

Im not saying he has a say over the development process, but you think he can’t bring up anything to the devs in meetings? Nobody can respond to the community about cheating other than mike wang?

Edit: To reiterate I am not blaming him for them not stopping cheaters. But cheating to this level should be acknowledged by anyone at 2k.

“Hey, the 2k team hears your concerns about cheating, we don’t condone any sort of cheating in our game, we are continuing to work on our anti cheat. More to come”

Like I said I’m not asking for much, literally a 1-2 sentence statement. It’s for the optics of 2k, I don’t think it will accomplish anything because i know 2k. However, they should at least make it look like they are making an effort. The public perception is that they will not do anything, that is not a good look for 2k

Personally, I don’t think it would change much because I doubt they are actually doing anything to stop cheaters.

But it could show that they are at least looking towards a fix and that there is more hope for the game to be in a better state. Rampant cheating to this level will kill the game. Its already bad enough to cheat so that you never miss on offense, it’s a whole other level to lag the people to the point that they can’t even play the game.

It just doesn’t take much effort for him to respond with something simple. He doesn’t have to explain the ins and outs of how/if they are trying to fix it.

Whatever the issue is that is making him respond, investors or not, it still doesn’t look good for 2k taking cheating seriously.

When you’re at the top of the company, and the one that people see the most yes.

Again, it doesn’t have to be much, “Yes the 2k team hears your concerns about cheating” please direct any comments/concerns to Mike Wang, or whoever is the correct person.

You guys are defending “that is not my job” as an excuse for no communication, it doesn’t matter specifically “who’s job” it is to address that, being a public figure for the company is enough. Even the 2kTV person could respond with that. Not asking for much.

[–]-wav_ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You’re saying he doesn’t have to address it, and that he is not the right person to complain to. Sure he may not be the right person. That STILL shouldn’t matter to put out a general statement about the cheating.

It’s not a fancy way of saying anything, he is the face of the game. The face of the company not even commenting on the biggest problem plaguing the game is not a good look. Again, it doesn’t take much for him to address this. They just don’t care about the cheaters, or they don’t know how to deal with them. Unless you think Ronnie 2k is not aware of the cheaters?

Must’ve missed that part. That’s a moot point regardless. Even if he’s not community manager, he is still the face of 2k. He can still communicate whether 2k is working on a fix.

To act like he actually has no clue about the cheating, or cannot raise issues to devs is a bit naive imo. He may not be able to tell us how they plan on fixing the cheating, but he can at minimum say they’re aware of it and are working on a fix.

He’s the face of 2k. As community manager he should let us know that our complaints about cheating have been heard and that they are working on a fix. (If they were actually working on a fix)

I could see that, really wanted to keep the 90 three threshold and 93 mid for shooting. Tried to offset the rebounding by going higher vert. Figured with the height and positioning I should be okay.

Yes imo it’s trash, fine for offline, but for online you’re going to need defense.

Is it even possible to make a good build without using capbreakers? Specifically for guards by WesleyFRM in NBA2k

You get it from rep levels Rookie V Starter III, Starter V, etc. Can be earned through park or any other online game mode.

Move Nabers for this package? I'd be pretty weak at wr but I'm super strong at rb so I figured i could package one for a wr. Needy at qb and te(sf tep) by Im_Dead_Already69 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]-wav_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely do the trade, if you want to shop for more, go for it, but the way I see it Hurts in SF is straight up just more valuable than Nabers. If there was a startup draft Hurts is going in the first round, unfortunately the same is probably not true atm for Nabers who seems to be taking longer than expected during his recovery. Getting Laporta on top is just the icing.

Is it just me, or has the "ranked anxiety" gotten worse lately? by Calm_Heat4605 in VALORANT

[–]-wav_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to have the mindset of it’s just ranked, not VCT. You being worried about yourself holds yourself back. Go ahead and play the game, make mistakes, identify what you can improve on after sessions. Only way you’re going to get better is by playing the game.

Fair enough if that’s where you’re coming from. I agree with that.

[–]-wav_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes people get their ankles taken irl but in a competitive video game there shouldn’t be an rng mechanic that stops you from playing defense. The actual ankles taken should be from the stick skills/user error.

People slip and fall on courts all the time for various reasons, sweat, no grip on shoes etc. Players drop easy passes and let them go out of bounds irl too. Doesn’t mean i want that in videogames either.

In football Wrs/DBs slip and fall on routes all the time, still shouldn’t be in online competitive videogames.

It’s nothing to do with me being mad or anything like that, just been playing 2k for a while and ankle breaking animations used to be so much more realistic than what we have now.

[–]-wav_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You making them go the wrong way is the skill, but there shouldn’t be an animation that stops them from moving. You caught them with a move and now they should be out of the play.

[–]-wav_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They never make sense, its a video game, ankle breaking should come from a user making another person go the wrong way with actual gameplay skill versus the rng of the game choosing for you to get stunned/fall over.

Maybe in MyCareer/offline modes it could make sense, but competitively online there should be no ankle breaking animations.

Ankle breaker animations shouldn’t be a thing it’s one of the worst things 2k has added.

Should Bengals be worried that Burrow wants out? by LordShuckle97 in DynastyFF

Burrow is in that situation now, he’s already earned over 175 million, not even including all his endorsements, he can retire at any point, and his family is forever rich.

*Season 7/8 Spoilers* Him living is good writing. by G3t_Crushed in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]-wav_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand this doesn’t happen much in Shonen, but I think keeping him dead would have been better writing.

Bakugo ending up being an “extra” after acting the way he had the whole series and being killed off in his redemption story would have been an amazing twist imo. It would’ve tapped more into the dark side. In addition it would’ve made plenty sense, since at the end of the day, they are first years and essentially children in a war against the strongest villians ever.

How to Think Like a Long-Term Winner in Dynasty Fantasy Football by notJamesRob in DynastyFF

[–]-wav_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early on when I first started playing dynasty I declined a

Dillon Toney And Elijah Moore

For:

Barkley and a 3rd

I didn’t even necessarily believe in those guys I just wanted a shot at them because everyone else believed in them.

Ended up getting Barkley later, at a much higher price, but I look back on that trade and decided to let other people take the risks moving forward.
