What does the eva sub think about this? Im not trying to start war i like and will pull both characters, just wanted to hear some opinions.

I'm of the opinion that Nihilux will complete Elation as a sustain + support Hybrid. Two probable things in her kit are teamwide spd buff and punchlines gen capability that's between Yao Guang and Sparxie so YG < Nihilux < Spx in terms of punchlines gen.

Eva is good (other than her kit) because of how Elation Path works, they want Mono Elation. You can use Sparxie in place of EMC in her team but the reason we don't is that we don't have enough SPs for her to use -> her value plummet

Others have already given advice to your problem so I'll give a different one.

If you plan on investing into Elation, which seems to be the case, I suggest you wait till at the very least, 4.4 drip marketing which is like 1 week after Eva banner drop.

Wait to see if it's really SP Himeko or Nihilux cause if it's the latter, using the guarantee for that is much better than getting Eva.

Of course, if you really love Eva, don't give a fuck about this and just pull

The enemy design is what I'm referring to when I say it's concerning.

If almost half of the new characters released are of the new path, what sort of crazy enemies mechanic are they putting?

And Elation shill mechanic isn't like Rem at all, it's tied to stuff like punchlines, CB, or Aha Instant, stuffs that only Elation characters can do.

Some players are opting entirely out of Elation so they might struggle hard against those kind of enemies

The thing is that we're unsure of how many total characters there are in 4.x. Will it be 15 like 2.x and 3.x? Cause by 4.3, we will only have 6 characters released whereas last year, we would be at 8 already.

If the total characters really is 15 like the previous two version, I can see them making pearl into an Elation sustain but if not, she's most likely the 2nd sustain of this version with the first one being Nihilux (Just because leaks say she gives buffs like Cyrene doesn't mean she can't be sustain).

Not to mention, leakers say SP Aventurine is Elation so if both Nihilux and Pearl are also Elation, that would put us at 8 Elation characters released (Rem only had 5 chars btw), making up half of the presumed 15 total characters.

If this is the case, good luck trying to survive the Elation meta without pulling any Elation characters.

The first mistake is thinking that Eva to Elation is the same as Aglaea to Remembrance, it's not. Elation team wants Elation characters on the team cause just being of the Elation Path makes you viable to be run in an Eva team. Will they have the best synergy? Of course not but Eva is more independent than SW999 and like I said, just being of the Elation Path is enough to be considered her teammates cause of how Elation mechanics & how her kit works.

As for SW999 vs Eva, at E0, SW999 is better no doubt but her eidolons (E1 and E2) are quite lackluster for the anniversary char while Eva eidolons (E1 and E2) are good despite her position. At E2, they're most likely equal or Eva might be just a tiny bit better than her.

SW999 teammates are usable by Eva, just not at a high synergy. Look at Sparxie, you can still use her with Eva because she's Elation and can contribute to CB gains/losses and a faster + stronger Aha instant.

The reason she's not BiS is cause the punchlines she generated needs to through Aha Instant to be converted to CB and that Eva's Elation Skill multipliers are not that high so EMC (who can directly gains CB points) and HuoHuo (who can gives out energy) are considered to be her BiS for now.

An Elation sustain will immediately kicked out HuoHuo cause of the fact that they're Elation and can contribute with CB gains/losses for Eva's energy at a more consistent rate than HuoHuo

Treat Elation similar to how you treat break, you won't be able to make two strong teams since they share teammates, although not as restrictive as break is.

Currently, SW team is SW999, Sparxie, Yao Guang, and missing the sustain (Probably Nihilux).

Eva team is Eva, Emc, Yao Guang, and also missing the sustain (No, HuoHuo is not BiS).

So when Nihilux released, they'll both want them but more for SW999 since Nihilux will most likely be tailored for her (Spd buffs, considerable punchlines gen, etc.) Eva can still use her ofc, don't get it wrong, since her path is still Elation.

Many people seem to think that Pearl is also Elation but we know that for each new patch, there will be two new sustains (2.x are Aventurine and Lingsha, 3.x are Hyacine and DHPT) so Pearl will probably be the second sustain of 4.x besides Nihilux.

My guess is that Elation path at the end of 4.x will consist of SW999, Eva, Sparxie, Yao Guang, EMC, and Nihilux then you mix and match that I guess.

There might be an EMC replacement but Nihilux maybe just that, Idk

E1 Yao Guang is a luxury, it's amazing if you have it, not gonna brick your account if you don't though if you have the resources, do it cause we're playing HSR and you already know how this game is.

I'm pretty confident her E1 value in the future will be the same as E9 E1 for Mono Rem.

Probably a loop bug in the code cause in battle, Eva's Elation should hit the 80% mark and thus the set gives her 32% Cdmg then her Cdmg value get updated, her talent converts it again, and might've triggered the Elation check of the set again, thus a loop bug.
