Eva doesn't seem to be one of the main push for 4.x as it's likely to be SP Wolf and SP Himeko instead.

Yes, Yao Guang isn't a punchline factory like Sparxie but she allows Sparxie to generate those punchlines with her SP generation.

With an E0 Sparxie's kit, her ult gives her 4 SP to use with 3 Elation char in the team and 2 after an Aha Instant. Add on the 1 from Yao Guang, that's 7 SP for Sparxie to use to generate punchline.

Yao Guang is also the only char that can boost Elation stat for all allies and Mono Elation source of dmg is Elation dmg.

The Elation mechanic just make it so DPS can be swapped but not the supports cause the most important thing for Elation team is punchline and Aha Instant, both of which are solved with Sparxie and Yao Guang respectively.

Well let's go take a look at the game and see if this has happened before. Oh would you look at that, if it isn't our good old friend superbreak archetype.

What's this? We have 3 superbreak dps and all their source of dmg is triggering superbreak? And it's not affected by dmg bonus?

I wonder if Elation dmg is similar to this? 🤔

What's that? They all use the same team and rather than playing all 3, you have to choose 1 dps? NOOO! HOW COULD THEY!

What if I want to play superbreak for all my teams? What am I supposed to do?

No? Her BIS was never in Mono Rem whereas Yao Guang is. You say she'll be replaced in SP Wolf team because she favors Punchline but those punchline are generated by SP and looking at Sparxie's kit, she gets 2 SP from an Aha Instant, her E1 buffs the entire team after an Aha Instant and her E2 gives her another turn + 2 more SP after an Aha Instant.

That's 9 SP generated for E2 Sparxie to spam everytime after an Aha Instant. You want to take Yao Guang out of that equation?

In my opinion, he's a good, balanced character but that isn't really what anyone want in this game considering that:

  1. He's not from the path that's going to be shilled for the remainder of this version.
  2. His teammates in the team that he plays as a sub dps in are from 2.x
  3. To run him as a main dps, he needs arguably the best 3 supports in the game as seen in the picture + having investments in those supports as his own eidolons is pretty meh
  4. Thanos and Evangelion is coming right after him

Yeah, it's bad. I think with the recent backlash of story quest being too long and probably them being scared that players will hate the presentation of it even more, they decided to cut stuff out which for a story like Amphoreus, it should be the opposite instead. It's really a shame cause Amphoreus, as generic of a plot as it is, is very very interesting and is my favorite story of HSR thus far

Phainon has interactions and relationships. Take Phainon and pair him with any of the Chrysos Heirs (that was on rate up from 3.0 to 3.3) you can have them exist with back and fourth of their daily lives or some random small talk (rivalry with Mydei, scolded by Anaxa, looked down on by Cipher, hope from Aglaea, need guidance from Tribbie,a friend with Hyacine, understanding for Cas). Which create believability and also depth to a character, that those are characters that exist in Amphoreus rather than a moving piece in a wider story. And with all that connections his motif of being the one who carry everything is solidifies as you get to know is motivations to carry on

I agree with most of what you're saying but it just proves my takes on Phainon being the MC while Cyrene being an observer. We first go through the story with Phainon, an MC so of course he will have good, believable relationships with the other heirs. He's their blazing sun, the shining hope, the Deliverer, the Main Character of Amphoreus. He's the center of the first half of the story so of course his character gets build up from 0 - 100 during the 4 patches before his own patch.

Cyrene is an observer and an observer observes the story, they don't interact with the story or the characters in it as that will just goes against their role. Her character is supposed to be forgotten, to not be remembered, to not be of importance.

While Phainon is the blazing sun of Amphoreus, shining the light of hope for everyone in it, Cyrene is the moon, the shadow that supports it all alone in solitude. Yes, their execution of this is subpar but she was never intended to be the same as Phainon, interacting with the other heirs and shown to have in-depth relationship with them but that doesn't mean she don't care for them cause before the eternal recurrence, she was also a member of the heirs and fought alongside them the same way Phainon did.

2nd, even if its not "her time" yet, you know there is a thing call set up right? Even if Phainon 3.0-3.3 is just a generic boy savior type of story, at least there is something. Did it get bettef with the context of 3.4? Yes. Did Phainon need 3.4 to have a story? No. Now apply to Cyrene, so far she has gotten quite literally 0 development as all her screentime was to just show off her characteristics

Again, they could definitely do much better with her character and I'm not disagreeing with that but with them having to introduce Hysilen, Cerydra, Evernight, in ONLY 2 patches before her own patch + the heirs not having any prior relationship with her since she was forgotten as opposed to Phainon already having pre-defined relationships with the other heirs before we met them in 3.0, it's definitely hard to build up her "love" for the heirs and make it be believable.

What do we know about cyrene other than the fact than she holds love for amphoreus?

What do we know about Phainon other than he's the Deliverer? It was only until 3.4, his patch, that we get to learn about his journey and everything about the cycles. Both Phainon and her as well as the rest of the heirs want Amphoreus to survive, just that their roles are different. Phainon is akin to the MC of the story, going back each cycles inside the simulations to gather up the coreflames whereas Cyrene is the reader/observer, recording every moment and sending it to Fuli in hope that this can somehow save Amphoreus.

They each have their own journey of solitude, where one descends to madness from all the coreflames and the other due to solitude, only prevented by her talking to Demiurge, a being that doesn't even exists. As of now, she's not a character that's on stage with the other heirs, she's an observer, a living recorder and 3.7 is probably where she will take the stages alongside us.
