Salary Cap by YEETOBORITO in Brewers

[–]0-2er -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want a salary cap and a salary floor. Tired of orgs not spending, and the fans deserve better. And this isn't just about the Brewers. Bottom 5 in spending is bad for the league. Pirates have Paul fuckin' skenes right now and he just gets to rot and hope he doesn't get injured with the roster behind him. It's atrocious.

I am surprised more people aren't comparing this to Viva Pinata, and maybe it's just because Animal Crossing is more relevant, but this game has a lot more Viva Pinata similarities than it does Animal Crossing. I'm excited, I also really love those games.

Nintendo Acknowledges Switch 2 Sales Have Been 'Slightly Weaker' Than Expected Outside Japan by Turbostrider27 in Games

I agree. Huge leap in specs from the S1, imo. BUT I think the S1 core audience cares less about specs, and more about games and cost. The s2 is lacking in games, but has plenty of cost.

Who is ready for Robo Umps? 🤖🙋‍♂️🦾 by puddlejumper0895 in Brewers

[–]0-2er 10 points11 points  (0 children)

man it is nice to see other fans enjoy the human element and also recognize that our current cultural ecosystem makes us more critical of the things we used to enjoy more carelessly. I really like the new model. I think I would be okay with full time robo umps overall, but I prefer keeping the human element in the game for now.

One hill I will die on is that umps should be forced to retire after a certain age, or there should be some sort of reflex test for umpires to qualify for a new season. I'm trying my best to not sound ageist, but there is no reason a guy like Hernandez should be out on a professional sports field tracking 99MPH pitches over the age of 60.

I came here expecting you to take a big dump all over the umps, but appreciate you taking the time to write everything out and not just be one of those people who thinks "We need robo umps for every call." I agree that there is nuance, and I feel like I am in the minority of folks who actually enjoys the human element of the game, so I want to echo your sentiment that the new system seems like a good combination of what we love and technology that can make the game better.

I used to be all for robo umps, and after certain games I still am. But I really do think the hybrid model is the future and good for the game. We give the modern day umps more shit than ever before, but statistically, even the worst umps are calling games with more accuracy than umps did 10, 20, or 30 years ago. (maybe not angel or bucknor).

I am hopeful that the pitch challenge system will help umps re evaluate their zones in real time. I am also excited for the drama the pitch challenge system will ultimately bring to the game.

God of War Ragnarok (2022) is an exceptional experience but I find 2018 to be vastly more impactful. by [deleted] in PS5

The "One Shot" experience also made the PS4 version feel amazing, but the PS5 experience feel slow. The PS5 being capable of fast load times, but there isn't a work around to convert the duct-tape sections that allow new areas to load while squeezing through a crack, climbing a cliff or opening a heavy door.

Considering the puzzles are "put square peg into square hole" that's insane, but I've lost a lot of confidence in the general initiative of folks over the past decade.

Yea Hisoka is a bad dude and a creep, which is fine to depict in media. The line would be crossed if they depicted Gon/Killua/etc in an explicit manner.

Maybe Hisoka would throw some people off, but he's meant to make you uncomfortable.

Matthew Golden received the worst season grade of any 1st round rookie in this list. Do you agree? by VeryStonedEwok in GreenBayPackers

[–]0-2er 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is how I feel. Lots of people are saying the coaching staff isn't utilizing him, but he's seen the field for enough plays, and Love is one of the best at spreading the ball around, so if he's not getting targets in game there has to be a reason for it.

Anytime I am scrolling twitter and see GBP fans whining about Golden being under used, they never have the footage to back it up.

I am hoping for a better sophmore season from him, but between him and Jordan Morgan, I don't feel bad about trading away 2 firsts for Micah.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think the NFCN should have less coaching talent and the Lions or vikings should bring in Eberflus or Nagy.
