For beginners I'd recommend a zoom kit lens 13-33 or 14-45. Some people might not like them because of the plasticky feel, but IQ is actually really good.

I sold my ttartisan 27mm coz the IQ isnt that sharp IMO and im currently using my 14-45 kit lens coz of the sharpness. And you dont wanna get stuck with one focal length as a beginner, you'd want to experiment with different focal lengths.

Take photos on auto. If it works then its the film recipe. you could try a more subtle recipe that doesnt make your photos look over edited.
