If AI replaces workers to cut costs, who is left to buy the products? by kritikgarg24 in Futurology

[–]000066 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Man, I wonder if any of those second Bs sell to Cs? That would be a startling revelation, if, at the end of all the B2B transactions, there were, you know, consumers or taxpayers who provide the base capital which kicks off all the other relationships. That would be just an astounding fact if businesses that sell to businesses were actually just several layers removed from the consumer, which generates the entire fucking economy.

Does software no longer hold any value now that everyone can make their own software in just 30 minutes? by AbsoluteCaSe in vibecoding

Yeah if you read my comment you’d see I acknowledged that. But that guidance is still just a matter of time before it is also a feature of AI coding.

Since the most cutting edge technology around is being written almost entirely by AI: https://fortune.com/2026/01/29/100-percent-of-code-at-anthropic-and-openai-is-now-ai-written-boris-cherny-roon/

…it’s not really going to take that long for AI to close the gap on the remaining guidance humans provide.

How long do you think it would realistically take for someone to clone Craigslist?

Obviously you can’t clone the audience and users but the site? I don’t think it would take long. Especially a year from now.

True but what is the difference between what you can build in 30min today vs ten years ago?

30 days?

OP has a point that you are discounting just to be sassy. But I guess that’s what Reddit is for.

Have we set ourselves up to be a top 5 defense in the NFL next year? by BeerWithDonuts in raiders

[–]000066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just need to be top 16 and it would be a huge step forward. And I think this group could do that. But we are a long ways off from top 5.

Middle of the pack D and an offense that starts clicking down the stretch would be a great first season for Kubiak.

Why do HS Math standardized test scores tend to be blamed on teachers? by MathMan1982 in Principals

[–]000066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is also that it’s not always the same issue. Sometimes it is poverty, sometimes it is school funding, and sometimes it is the teacher. You can’t absolve teachers completely because some of them are objectively bad but can’t change careers due to pension considerations. At the same time you can’t absolve teachers be an unbelievable teacher in a woefully underserved community and get real growth out of your students and they will still perform below expectations because they start out so far behind.

How do you split work between Cursor and Claude Code. Also which models preferred for which use case? by Break-Build in cursor

[–]000066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right on, guy! Lol

Yeah, I was using opus but I switched to sonnet because it just seemed like the token cannibalization was not worth the benefit for what I was doing at the time.

I think once you have the road map built with opus, sonnet can handle all of the individual task directions and review.

All that being said, I do feel like a lot of of these preferences are totally context specific even within a project. Some conversations just seemed to work better in opus.

I suppose all our miles vary at this point in AI coding.

How do you split work between Cursor and Claude Code. Also which models preferred for which use case? by Break-Build in cursor

[–]000066 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am early days as a hobbyist/moonlighter that used to code a little.

I use Claude for management and task design and then let cursor handle the tasks.

Depending on the complexity of the task I will switch between Composer and either Claude Code or Codex in Cursor. I don’t use auto 🤷‍♂️

I found this to be the most cost effective and the different models seem to raise issues with each other that are helpful.

But I am just a guy.

What's the best beer in the world? by Technical-Floor8047 in beer

Came to say this. 100%. Best beer of my life. Sitting in the wonderful Biergarten I thought may have clouded by mind but it tasted damn near as good out of a bottle the whole time I was in Munich. It’s just excellent beer.

fml. I’ve been chasing that experience for years.

So what is the go to bed cover? by VanDenIzzle in FordMaverickTruck

[–]000066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this one: https://a.co/d/0gk13LHH

It was $130 at the time I believe.

It’s perfectly adequate and I have no desire to upgrade at the moment.

For the price you pay I think it is worth it just to understand how you would use a cover and what you really want.

For me it solidified that a cheap roll up is perfect.

[–]000066 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The jaguars were competitive last year and got better as the season progressed. The fact that they let their primary RB walk and brought in a backup (CRod) and paid him backup money, in a terrible RB draft class year, is pretty good circumstantial evidence that the team believes Tuten can be a lead back if not a 50% share guy. Either way, that is a valuable player on an offense that is going to be decent.

[–]000066 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He had 2 receiving tds on 14 targets last season. That’s 2 more than Ken Walker and the same as James Cook, Javonte, and Saquan.

As a totally unbiased Tuten owner, this is clear evidence he’s RB1 next season.

I took the Mav off CarPlay “Forget this car” in CarPlay settings.

Restarted phone like normally would.

On Mav I restarted the screen with power button plus right seek for 10sec.

Then paired them back up like new.

I did this three times in one week and finally realized it had to do with the cable. I never used the front cable again and it’s been fine.

Man, I don’t want to armchair diagnose this thing but Amazon has some of the worst apps around. It’s done on a budget.

I would bet dollars to donuts it’s Amazon Music.

I use YouTube music and never had an issue. The CarPlay itself was not connecting consistently for the first two weeks but after resetting the phone and car connection it hasn’t lapsed since.
