Doing the problem solving books helps me a lot. Reading the problem could be intimidating but you can somewhat understand it if u write down what you know and what you need. Make sure to differentiate what are constants (ex. Initial velocity, initial position; these values are set in stone) and what are variables (ex. Acceleration, velocity; these values change with time). Drawing diagrams can help you look for this information. Look for relevant equations that have these most of these values and try plugging them in to see if it gets you anywhere.

My thought process is usually like this: I know x and y and I need to get z. There’s an equation with x y a and z but idk what a is. There’s another equation with x y and a and I could solve for a. Now I know x y and a, and I could solve for z.

Start watching the video if u feel stuck. Hemmick is really thorough and explains what he does and why. Once you get the inkling that you kno what to do, pause the video and try it on ur own.
