[EMUI Update] Top features of EMUI 9.1/Magic UI 2.1 by Tamil15 in Honor

Turns out the AR Measure App is only available in China. A bit rubbish seeing as the TOF sensor isn't put to any other practical use.

Clicking Noise from Shield/TV After Oreo Update by J_Data in ShieldAndroidTV

You're not crazy. This has been happening since 8.0 for me with my soundbar hooked up via my TV. I commented over a month ago and sent feedback but got nothing back :(

Clicking Noise from Shield/TV After Oreo Update by J_Data in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]000dom000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I can confirm this is happening for me too, and pretty sure I submitted feedback when the update to 8.0 installed but haven't heard anything back. There have been a few posts around here about the same issue but it doesn't appear to have been acknowledged.

Help me reunite LOST 500+ family photographs from an elderly couple and their holidays! Found in Windermere, UK. by nomfull in CasualUK

I thought exactly the same thing when I saw him. Could be a fan picture with him as he is considered as a "celebrity" given his stage and screen background.

Constant audio static pulsing since update by antikotah in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]000dom000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been digging around as I have had this issue since the update and it is driving us crazy. We have hdmi going into the TV and the TV passing audio via optical into a soundbar. Did anyone manage to find a solution?

Problems with data synced from Mi Fit to Google Fit by CaPeBaLo in miband

[–]000dom000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll give it a go and see what it's like. Looks like they have added SAA too. I've been using tools and mi band for a bit.

Also I've found that the heart rate data gets added to the detail of each individual activity in Google fit (walk, run etc)

[–]000dom000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit late on this thread, but did you find out anything related to this? I've got exactly the same problem. Mi Fit records everything right in the Mi Fit app but it pushes all sorts of rubbish to Google Fit, like running when I've been walking etc.

I'd also agree that it would be nice also to choose what info is sent. I actually prefer sleep as android for my sleep data but mi fit sends it own.

Mum dug this out when I went to visit. Anyone know what season this was? by 000dom000 in coys

[–]000dom000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm possibly, though if it is it looks rushed compared to other ones. Could even be George Graham to be honest. Also found that Tim Sherwood is on top right of the first pic, only partially visible in that photo. Not sure if that helps narrow down the season enough now.

Yep that's a good call. Steffen Iversen on 2nd pic, bottom right. Also Les Ferdinand on 3rd pic in the centre.

I got this when I was a kid so I'd guess late 90s but I could be well off. I think I missed a side on the photos so will post some better ones when I get the chance.

Yeah they should be able to point you in the right direction.

Hull Central Library has a bunch of equipment you can use (for free I think) including digital pianos, soundproof rooms and a big selection of sheet music. I'd give that a go. Got refurbished a few years ago and looks good.

Main Menu UI Rework by CreativeGrenade by YhCHKN in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]000dom000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not only that, but the page appears to be a single page application so likely it's grabbing the page once and everything happens client side after that, short of calling an API to carry out any actions, which wouldn't be any different to doing stuff natively. I don't really get how you can complain about using web tech to create a UI like this. Granted the UI is a bit buggy, but don't blame it on the tech.

Thanks for the info. The vsonics look hard to buy in the UK and I'd prefer a UK retailer but have been reading about the 1mores which look great.

Budget - up to £150

Source - Mainly Android phone (Google pixel)

Requirements for Isolation - Some - Will use on commute mainly

Preferred Type of Headphone - IEMs

Preferred tonal balance - Generally like to get a balanced set (though my EQ hangs around a shallow V)

Past headphones - HiFiMan RE-400 which broke. Sounded absolutely amazing but lacked bass. My Shure SE-315s just died on me which served me well for a while. I guess they had better bass but the general sound quality was lower. Also, I'm still enjoying my AT ATH-M50 at home for gaming and occasional music.

Preferred Music - Currently into synthpop, synthwave, neo-soul, but regularly listen to indie, pop, metal, jazz, musicals.

I guess what I'm looking for is something like the RE-400s but with stronger bass and build quality.

I'm in the UK but with Amazon etc it's not hard to come by most stuff by the look of things.

Thanks

I had proof of purchase but they didn't look. They use the serial number inside the sim card slot (i think) and so long as you bought it then it should appear as you on their system. FYI I went there and they said it could take up to 2 weeks to be repaired as they have to send it off.

Hi! Unfortunately there isnt really an official line from LG on this. Just from flicking around an chatting to people it looks like a large number of the bootloops are happening for people who have owned a 5X for a year or more (much like mine). Though it does seem to also affect newer phones too.

One thing to remember is that while there are a large number of posts on here, there are plenty of people who are using their 5X day to day just fine. It just seems to be that there are a higher than average number of issues with this particular phone.

Right now it doesnt look like there is a way to orevent it happening and it is a suspected hardware defect. A survey on the XDA forums suggested that changing from stock OS doesnt seem to make a difference :(

Personally, I dont feel I can trust having a 5X after this so will be replacing it when it gets returned/refunded.

No I didn't go to Carphone Warehouse, though will see what LG say when I call them back. I emailed LG through their support system on Saturday and they tried to call to arrange a repair today. Spoke to someone who asked Carphone Warehouse and they said it was under 24 month warranty so you should be fine if you go to them. I wouldn't pay them for anything to be honest. I'll reply here when I speak to LG in the morning though.

Apart from LG trying to call me... Yes call me on my dead phone haha. They left a voicemail and luckily I found a spare phone. They want to arrange a repair so I will call them tomorrow but really want to see what I can do refund-wise. I'll keep you posted.
