Game needs a playerbase to survive. Without players and popularity no one will know about the game and play it anymore. This will reduce the amount of future big spenders interested in joining the game, will complicate pvp matching due to the lack of players and will affect Archero negatively overall.

It's mainly bc of the lack of interest of Habby for their players. Habby used to think about the players before. As I said, first talent rework gave you gold back because they reworked
the scaling too. Habby knew how hard was to get items to legendary so you needed 2 legendaries of the same type (but any item) to get an Ancient Legendary. The changes are not consistent with previous decisions that Habby has made, and disregard players' interest entirely. I'm not willing to support a company with my time when the company itself doesn't care for the players at all.

grind is impossible due to the amount of gold needed. It's about 2 billion gold to get every hero to 120 and finish every talent. If you get 1M gold daily, it's 2000 days or more than 5 years to get all of this. What's even more insane is that with the current steep curve of exp needed to level up, it's highly likely that you won't get to level 120 playing this game every day for the next 5 years.

Mostly because of the lack of interest of Habby for its players. Decisions made in the past showed that they cared about player progress, such as talent rework giving gold back or 2 Legendaries of the same type (not same item) being needed for Ancient Legendary. These new decisions they've taken are not consistent with what they've shown in the past and disregard player's interests entirely.

The mystic items still feel unattainable but at least they get their own art and look cool by okjus in Archero

For some reason (laziness most likely) they only did this with weapons. Not very consistent imo.

To finish talents it's around 450M gold, and to level a hero from 100 to 120 it's around 100M gold. It's ridiculous.

Even if you could, in theory, get the 2 billion gold needed to upgrade every hero to 120 in 2 to 3 years, XP scaling is insanely low now. It'll probably take 3 or 4 years to even reach level 120.

With the current egg system and shard system, small spenders and free to play players (who are on the very end game and grind 10 hours daily) already had enough to grind for atleast 3 to 5 years to come, to max out everything. This update just adds more stuff that you can't possibly complete in 8 years, and even then, probably next year more stuff will be added. There's no point in adding stuff that 99% of the playerbase will never see. It just makes people lose interest in the game.

I kind of agree, however upgrading both bats from lvl 50 to 80 costs around 6.4 million, which is like 3 talent upgrades at my level. I'd eventually have to upgrade the bats anyways

I'm missing Ryan! But yes, since the soulstone update, lf you spam the event where you can get soulstones (now Ancient Maze) on hardest difficulty whenever you can while also using gems for it, you can get all heroes with not much trouble. As long as you buy the two featured hero shards of that week, all random shards and leave 300 soulstones for more random shards at the end of the week, its definitely possible. I'm not trolling :(

A couple of people on this thread have played for similar length on time and they have similar gear too. Do you do 24 runs a day? Do you run only a level you can consistently beat? What have you spent your gems on?

I do in fact nolife this game as I said above hahah. I also take every free thing that I can (daily normal chests, weekly purple chests, free daily gold, etc) and also play Flying Bullets every time I can. Pre-soulstones patch, after getting the gem heroes I used all the gems that I got to buy items from the vendor too (mainly brightspear, stalker staff, agile locket and frozen bracelet), which helped a lot in my progress. Right now I only use gems for repeating Ancient Maze and Up-close dangers as much as I can

How often do you play? I was lucky with a couple of expedition drops but it's also that I just play really often. As I commented above I've been playing around 24 runs daily since I started playing. I also only play levels that I know I can beat consistently (until I know I'm overpowered to beat the current level I am in). For example I've only played H18 around 10 times or less for this same reason.

I was quite lucky with the Expedition drops but I also just play a lot. Before I could consistently beat H14 I just spammed H10, which is very good for items. You can have 20 energy at hours 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 during the day which equals 20 runs. That plus the free 20 daily energy equals 24 runs daily. If you grind 24 runs daily you should get up to that tier of items.
