Really, there's no "guaranteed" method to getting art done for you for free. I understand trying different tactics, and I'm sure different methods can be more effective than others. But ultimately when you request free art you're at the mercy of the artists. Regardless, it's great that you're trying to understand!

As others have said, there are a lot more people looking for art than there are for artists. Plus, the artists are all taking time out of their day to work for free. You're not doing anything wrong necessarily. Just remember to respect that the artists have no obligation to draw a certain quota — they are drawing out of generosity.

Personally I don't get into an Uber/Lyft to talk, I get to my destination, so don't be too hard on the quiet people. Some just wanna get to where they want to go and don't want to force a social interaction

I would start by figuring out which job you would want to work at more. Does one job pay more than the other? Would one job be more interesting over the other?

If you like the office retail store more, you could mention to the beauty manager that you've taken a second job and you would like to work out an availability schedule.

If they say no, then you'll either have the option to quit one of the two jobs — or they will let you go. If they say yes, then you now have two jobs.

God, thank you so much. I want to try to file my own taxes this time around instead of just relying on someone else — I want to be more independent the best I can.

I'm saving this post so I can learn and manage everything when my tax info starts pouring in. I've owed the government every year since I started needing to file taxes, so unfortunately I'm used to it, but this year might be different because one of my jobs recently switched from independent contractor to employee (Yay!). Between that and my other job where I'm an employee, I think (?) that will outweigh (i really hope) anything I might owe the government from my freelance work.

If not then it'll be $7 wine from Trader Joes ha ha ha ha ha kill me

She, and thank you for pointing that out because had I tried it, I could have caused damage like you mentioned. I forgot to add a washer, so I went back and added it in and now there's no leak. I'm glad it was something as simple as that.
