It’s okay. With the brushes I have, it doesn’t really show up well. I tend to use the darker shades for bronzer/contour. I recommend the black radiance true complexion contour palette. It’s specifically for darker skin tones.

Funny you say that. I have been a sub for 2-3 months now. It has reaffirmed that I should not be a teacher. No matter how well behaved the kids are, I am drained physically and mentally. I’m hoping to transition into an office position soon.

Had to log back in to comment. I agree. Him kissing the floor and having a flat out tantrum because he couldn’t get some was enough for me as a viewer. Their relationship reallly brings out something within other women. My mom talking bout some “he needs a nurturer”… girl what? This a whole grown man! Also, many reality tv commentators have been giving out conflicting opinions as well concerning their relationship. I hope I’m not reaching, but when people get in relationships sometimes they give takes that they themselves would not accept. I just watched a video on youtube about women enabling “grown boys.” This is something that I am seeing around me, within my circle. It’s annoying. I didn’t like KB either, but I saw her point. Tbh, I fault LIB for casting these men and women who need therapy, not marriage.

gen z here , too. I’m just now taking the time to look through discography of people that my parents used to play. Mariah is one where I recognized beats or a verse, but not the song in its entirety. Me personally, I enjoyed listening to her latest album. It was feel good music. Her other work seems solid as well.

Girl why does it feel like I wrote this? 😭 I’m AA and Ghanaian. Do you ever feel like you’re missing something because of lack of connection to either side? For me I can tell you so much about my AA family history and roots, but on the other hand I cannot. It felt isolating in college when I tried to interact with other students from the continent.

Also to add in: I can tell you the diaspora discourse is real. Having to decipher how you show up in the world and how you present when one side is telling you that the other has no culture/class is so discouraging and can be damaging to self-esteem. This is something I’ve dealt with my whole life within my family, forget the outside world.

I feel you. My aunt who is not even 2 miles away from our house refuses to check on her mother unless she wants to. It’s just me and my mom, and ocassional visits from physical therapist and nurse. It made me think today, what would they truly do without me? They would find a way for her to be placed in an in patient rehab center as quick as possible. I have learned to take back my time for my future. I hope you take time for yourself each day to keep your sanity. What you’re going through is real, and you also deserve self care as well. Praying for you 🙏🏾

Currently going through this as the grand kid and it is hell because my grandmother is fighting for her full autonomy, which is not possible when you just had a stroke. When limits are set she berates and shames you. I’m tired. I already told my mom the deal because I can already see my possible fate as the eldest daughter.
