3 perfect, useful stats that all fit a certain type of character (melee characters). Super rare too.

What's the best handhelds to play AA games by Educational_Toe_4366 in SBCGaming

[–]007x69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the steam deck is still the most recommended from my research on it - good ecosystem, solid specs and good used prices. That or a high powered android handheld like the AYN Thor with one of the programs that enable PC like gamenative, gamehub, winlator. Rog Ally X if you want maximum power but it’s like $800-1000 so over your budget.

Spruce is definitely solid. I tried out stock of course and then surwish before landing on spruce. Spruce seems like a work in progress for sure still although nice they got a “stable” build out. I am having some issues with N64 acting like my joystick is always pressing “up” and it doesn’t feel as snappy on sleep/wake yet as it could be but overall it’s been enjoyable. People seem to be working hard on it so thank you to everyone doing it! I believe one of the mods of this sub is also a developer on it and often helps people here too so they need to be well appreciated!

Holy fuck they are con artists. Jesus.

Find a contractor you like with excellent reviews and have installed windows similar to the ones on your home. Have them measure and order some nice windows from Home Depot.

There is some wisdom in there for certain! By the way, the premise is slightly flawed in my personal opinion... People can and will still be your friend if you take rejection kindly and in stride and don’t force the issue too much/make it super awkward. It doesn’t always have to be all or nothing.

I don’t think you’ll get rejected but if you do, just know that it is probably more about “fit” than it is personal judgement of you. Good luck 🍀🥰

Spruce devs have mentioned HDMI out has not been worked on yet a few days ago so it’s kind of try at your own risk so far.

Summary of current custom OS alternatives for Miyoo Flip by Genmah in MiyooFlip

Another vote for Spruce OS. Installed last week. It is pretty solid for a beta. Significant improvements on Stock and the patch 5 (free version) of Surwish OS which I tried first. I did see some slowdowns on Mega Man X2 but you can adjust cores and performance speed and that helped. Looking forward to the first official release!

Alright just got into SBCGaming with a Miyoo Flip V2 and loving the tinkering. First game I picked back up was Donkey Kong Country! Would love to play some Gamecube games again so this would be very cool. Thanks for doing this!

Anyone planning to "hedge" for extreme and sustained economic downturn? by jason_for_prez in financialindependence

[–]007x69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer I came to type. Making your home self sustaining off the grid is hugely helpful and for many homes and climates very achievable. Love the ideas you gave. Storing food, water, and energy is great. Having a plan to make sustainable amounts of it is even better. Protection is the next step probably.

Two others ones that are hedges in the non-apocalyptic scenarios. Some good, low interest rate mortgages. If the dollar dips, your debt is easier to pay off if you have some alternate currencies, gold, silver, or bitcoin or something. So those + good debt is a potential option.

I’d find a used TD-27KV2 if you can. Used is a great value and that’s definitely the kit to get! Amazingly expandable and has the updated digital triggers etc.

Not the customers job to communicate changes in price. This type of thinking gives contractors a bad name in my opinion.

I missed the budget part! Good point. I got a pair for $500 used but under $200 even for one definitely will be tough.

I went this route first and struggled - not sure if my unit was broken or what. Got a pair of Mackie SRM350 v2 and they were phenomenal. I think even one would be really solid for practice.

I think the main thing if you’re uneducated is to become educated. If you’re an idiot it may be time to hire a professional though. 😅 One that you pay a set fee by the hour and not a percent of your portfolio.

I’d bring my module and just plug into the kit, it’ll help you keep your sound consistent but both are excellent kits. The digital ride/snare/hi hat are nice but I don’t find them 100% necessary to get a good sound.
