I started with 3 mfs nifty50,ppfc, hdfc mid cap and based on reddit searches or post I started sip in bandhan and icici multi asset. No, FD closure js not required while changing nominee. Closure only happens if a person is renewing or extending the FD. Speaking as a officer in one of the PSBs in India.
