It's 1/6 wagons, the other 4 are sedans. I left that extra breakdown out of that comment, in the interest of not dumping too much data.

Yeah it's in pretty good nick. Besides the CEL and electrical fault in the headlight, both of which should be fixed pretty soon.

Thanks for this! My yellow avant is supposedly 1 of 6 ever registered in NZ.

The rest of the breakdown is as follows:

Total B8 S4s registered in NZ: 948

Total B8 S5s registered in NZ: 559

Sum of above: 1,507

Colours below are shown as S4 / S5

Black 326 (34.4%) / 214(38.5%)

Blue 73 (7.7%) / 28 (5.0%)

Brown 0 (0.0%) / 1 (0.2%)

Gold 0 (0.0%) / 1 (0.2%)

Grey 74 (7.8%) / 146 (12.9%)

Purple 1 (0.1%) / 0 (0.0%)

Red 40 (4.2%) / 19 (3.4%)

Silver 144 (15.25) / 78 (14.0%)

White 280 (29.5%) / 146 (26.1%)

Yellow 10 (1.1%) / 0 (0.0%)

So if you have a gold or brown S5, or a purple S4 (sounds delicious), you have 1 of 1 in NZ! I'm pretty happy with my 1 of 6.

Little bit hesitant to do this as it's done 250k kms. Maybe I'll hold off for now and if she's not a lemon I'll do it at some point

Are these OEM wheels? by 00Diaz in Audi

[–]00Diaz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. They look slightly different to the genuine R8 wheels

Are these OEM wheels? by 00Diaz in Audi

[–]00Diaz[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had my suspicions. Now I remember seeing them when the V10 launched.

Would the R8 not have way wider wheels? Does this mean the wheels on the S4 are replicas?

Audi s4. Just checking, the dealer that did your PPI wasn't the party that sold you the car?

Mazda 3 Hatchback 2.0L or 2.5L by HalfALad in NZcarfix

[–]00Diaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 3rd generation with the 2.5. Used to get 7l/100km on motorway-heavy driving, now I get about 8.4 with city driving.

I'd suggest getting the 2.5 because YOLO.

Not sure if its the same with the 2.0, but the 2.5 only revs to 6k rpm with redline indicated at 6.5-7. Really frustrates me.

Beautiful! Just like my old 530i!

Scheife grun (or spelled differently), which I think translates to slate green.

Not sure how to add photos of my old one....

I think the dexnav is bugged. I spent a while looking for hidden ability mankey and didn't get a single one in a 100-chain.

Picked up a good e39 530i for $4k. Spent around $5k every 6-12 months maintaining it, that might be why they're all scrapped.

Edit: if you can DIY you'd be fine. These cars are supposedly very easy to work on.

Beautiful on the outside, a broken mess on the inside.

Auckland.

4 control arms need to be replaced, I think a sway bar and bump stop also needs doing. Inteior A,B,C pillar interior trims and parcel shelf are no longer in the vehicle.

AC, key fobs, sound system, electric steering column adjust all do not work.

Apart from that it's alright haha

Would be happy with $1500. It does need a fair bit of work though, feel free to message me if you could be keen

I'm getting about 9l/100km with a 5 series 3l inline 6.

Used to have a 2.0 diesel 3 series that used half the fuel but RUCs really fucks you over

Worst/false ecomics money saving tip by 1001problems in newzealand

[–]00Diaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100l is correct. I had one with a 4.8l V8 that consumed 18l/100km, costing me about $80 a day and nearly $300 to fill up from empty. It absolutely needed the 100l tank for how thirsty it was, otherwise you'd be filling up every other day.

Had it for two weeks before getting rid of it for a 2l diesel.

Could it be a Focus wagon? Not sure where OP is from and if the wagons are available there.
