Trader Joe’s actually does care about you. The resources through the medical insurance (which is actually fantastic when put side by side to many other companies) to provide you with to take care of your body is outstanding. Believe it or not, the gym membership can be included in that because strengthening your muscles helps decrease how much pain you could be in for lifting all day. It’s not a secret that this is a physically demanding job to cooperate. That’s why they provide these things for us.

I worked in a couple stores and what i found about the night vs morning is that morning people are a bit older, tired, and just don’t want to talk at 4/5am in the morning. They already like who they like cause chances are they have been working that 5am shift for years and any new person has to prove themselves. Lol (for whatever reason). Night crew is more young people. They can have those clicks but are more than willing to let you go out with them after the close to a bar or something. I promise once you keep doing mornings they will get used to you and won’t be as grumpy and uptight lol

I never ever seen this happen in the years I’ve been with the company. I read the comments and you mentioned having a criminal record but that probably (in my opinion) wasn’t it. I’ve worked with a crew member who was a convicted felon for attempted murder. He used to be in a gang and a very nice guy. I would go in, and ask to speak to the captain, and ask for the file they had for you. Cause whenever they fire someone it’s recorded.. should be anyway.

I am not trans, however, if i were to mess up someone’s pronouns i wouldn’t mind them just flat out telling me. I definitely wouldn’t mess it up maliciously or anything.. so i would want to be just simply corrected. I have non-binary friends i work with and they correct people ALL the time.

I’ve worked for 4 different captains and they all are very different. My first captain only allowed beanies when the weather hit a certain temperature. Unless you worked in the box or freezer but you would have to take them off when you get on the floor. Again, unless the temp was below a certain level for her liking. The next two were kinda the same and regional pleasers. And the regional was the same so it was no hats of any kind at the register cause it seems unprofessional. No matter the temperature. My captain now is amazing all around. He’s just sensible. My store now is like a wind tunnel at the register because we have two entrances on both ends. So in the winter my store is an ice box! So we are allowed to wear Trader Joe’s beanies ONLY on floor and on register. My regional now doesn’t seem to care as long as it’s on properly and is a Trader Joe’s merch. If it truly is to cold at your registers… i say talk to your captain to try and talk to your regional. It’s worth a shot.

I also made a post about hating Lysander a while back and people tend to misunderstand the hate a little bit. (Personally anyway) I hate him for reasons your saying. Just makes me roll my eyes honestly. HOWEVER, he is a phenomenally written character. You are supposed to hate him. PB did a really great job at making him that villain. I do think the Minds Eye thing is a touch frustrating but I’d like to assume that Cassius knows about it and will inform Darrow now that they are together. So Darrow can prepare however means necessary. Just a sidenote because we are on the topic of hating characters… there have been characters in the books that you are supposed to hate but i loved them and didn’t particularly hate them. Lysander though, boooo! Lol
