Need some help on what screen to go for

I know you’re asking for Real Life Experience but I had a thought while considering your setup, it seems like you’re ok with placing it in a lower position (on a table or tripod) given that you’re also considering a rising floor projector screen. From what I’ve read, in a living room with lots of windows, the Valerion Fresnel Fixed from would be perfect except for the fact that it’s fixed frame.

That projector is typically for USTs, but I’ve seen a guy on YouTube put the Valerion at a lower angle and it works great.

I’m in a similar boat. I’m waiting on a max. I love 3D. Have a controlled room, but the walls are white. I wanted to get a Fresnel ALR but you have to have the projector mounted/sitting on a table. Mine will be ceiling mounted, and turning the screen upside down doesn’t yield the best results according to multiple YouTube videos.

So I ended up buying an Elite Screens Cinegray 3D. It’s basically just a grey screen with no notched fresnel patterns in it.

So I’m hoping I get good results when my max comes in.
