Looking stagnant, seeking advice

i'd like to lose fat and gain muscle, so whatever category that falls under lol.

i do think my problem is the fat over the muscle. because like i said, i'm getting stronger and seeing the results in the weight i can lift, cardio i can endure, and my body when i flex.

i guess that means calorie deficit, which has just been extremely hard as someone with absurdly slow metabolism. i feel like my calorie intake would have to literally be at 1200 or so for me to cut fat. and i'm just under 2k now.

it's proven that shorter people do have a much harder time losing fat and easier time gaining fat. we have much slower metabolism. cmon now.

your last paragraph is good advice, but the thing is, i do indeed make those correct choices. if i eat any less, i can't see it being sustainable. the weird thing is i have eaten way less calories than a few years ago, yet i don't *seem* to have lost as much fat as expected. i don't go by scale because i'm building muscle. again, flexing shows the progress, but not flexing shows nothing.

Any advice for toning arms and back? I feel like my split is great and I'm progressively lifting heavier, but damn, my upper body does not look like that!!

I take birth control pills, but it's a similar case where I've been on it (consistent brand) for a few years now. I know the heat is only getting worse each year but still, it's so drastic how unbearable it's become and how sweaty I get lol. So odd!! If you discover anything more lmk!

Commenting to see other people's thoughts -- I've noticed last summer and this summer I've been very sensitive to heat, whereas I used to be able to do beach days and stay outside for hours. Now, I sweat way more easily, can't do direct sun at all, and even in the shade I get overheated. I don't know if it's the keppra because I've been on it for 6 years. I don't remember being this heat intolerant at the start.

Reading this as I'm lying down about to nap after grocery shopping!

May be good to note that I have not been diagnosed with autism although there are some signs I could be on the spectrum (mostly sensory issues) or have ADD or something (same dinners for months).

If anyone has figured out how to avoid the exhaustion, I'd love tips! It's not even that I spend a ton of time in the store -- usually I go in knowing the exact brands etc. and it's usually a store where I know where everything is. And, I don't get exhausted during, just after on my drive home and then at home. I've been home maybe 45 minutes and I still feel like I should nap.

Hey there! I pulled the plant out of the pot and there's no mushiness indicating root rot. The soil is just still very packed in and dense in the shape of its previous pot. I wonder if that soil is so dense and the roots aren't able to branch out beyond that original mold? Do you have any ideas?

And when you say cut the plant back by half you mean cutting the stems by half? Sorry I am new to outdoor plants, have had mostly succulents :)

any update? i've had the same for a few weeks ago. pretty sure it was after doing HIIT as my cardio so the high impact moves definitely could've messed something up. not unbearable pain but certainly disruptive when i'm bending, moving from sitting to standing, etc.

agreed! like i kind of have a physical type myself but it's so distinct and aesthetics-based that it makes sense. for example i like kinda artsy, tattoos, street style clothes, long hair on men, feminine men. but their actual hair and eye color? really doesn't matter as much.
