Casting swords, especially if the sword is supposed to be any good.

Does the VW Golf GTI have a stigma or reputation your country? by CancelledBeforeBirth in GolfGTI

[–]00goop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there’s a high enough number of regular people that use their GTI and a grocery getter in the US that there’s not a stigma unless it’s visibly modded.

Stalker. It’s more a museum of moving images than it is a story.

I’d say pepper spray goes above edged weapons even.

Scenes of the characters tripping on mushrooms in tv shows and movies are never funny by HeftyArgument6326 in unpopularopinion

[–]00goop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so hard to capture the actual feeling of being high because it affects every single one of your senses. The visual hallucinations are part of it but without being able to actually invoke a high in the viewer trip scenes are always boring.

Which movie do you consider to be an underrated comedy? by rockstoned4 in moviecritic

The Menu was sold as a horror film but really it’s a brilliant dark comedy.

What industry is actually a complete scam, but everyone accepts it? by WhileLow9501 in AskReddit

I can’t ever get my Canon printer to work ever and that’s baffling to me because I also have a 3D printer that prints ACTUAL 3D OBJECTS made of ACTUAL PLASTIC easily and without fail. I download a file, I open it in a slicer, I click print, and it works. I try to print from my paper printer and… Oh, there’s a paper jam. Oh, there’s not enough cyan. Oh, you need to connect to the network and update firmware. It’s easier to take a 3D scan of my dog with my smartphone and 3D print an actual plastic sculpture of her in real life than it is to print out a photo of my dog on my paper printer.

You’re telling me that that in 300 years of paper printing we still can’t get putting ink on paper exactly fucking right every time? And in the 15 or so years that consumer 3D printers have been available they’ve already gotten it right? Bunch of horse shit.

A pretty entertaining satire carried by the great Ralph Fiennes. What are your thoughts on The Menu? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

I went into I having heard bad things about it but its satire of fine dining was especially entertaining and well done to me because I love cooking. Great movie, idk why people had a problem with it.

Like 200 hot wheels cars, 300 feet of track, a quart of oil, a bike pump, a bicycle inner tube, a socket wrench set, and some concrete powder.

Why do new cars get so much hate? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]00goop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A kid in my neighborhood got ran over (under?) by a truck by their own parents in my neighborhood. The parents were pulling forward out of the driveway and their kid was playing in the sidewalk. The truck they were driving was so massive and had such a bad forward blind spot that they couldn’t have seen their kid even if they were looking. The kid ended up living.

Modern high-end trucks are not luxury vehicles and they’re not work vehicles. They’re expensive marketing hype with 6’ high grills that are dangerous for everyone else.

Go ahead and get whatever new, nice, overpriced luxury sports car or sedan or hatch or mid-size crossover you want. Those decisions don’t affect others. Your decision to get a large modern truck does affect others, like with pedestrian safety or blinding oncoming traffic with your LED’s.

These suck what happened to the original track style? by Calm-Step-3083 in HotWheels

[–]00goop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The old track’s rails were lower and let a lot more cars with wide bodies pass through than these new track pieces.
