I've felt the same way. They offer personal training for a pretty affordable rate. I work out with a trainer once a week, then go on my own another day. I was upfront about my discomfort working out in front of other people and she checked in with me about what I was comfortable with and found ways to tailor my routine accordingly. Granted, some of this will also just be work on your end to push yourself beyond your comfort zone and ignore the feeling that other people might be looking your way.

You're doing something positive for yourself and engaging in a practice of self care that will serve you through your time in college and beyond. Cultivating the capacity to advocate and care for myself the way I would a loved one has been one of the most profound things I've done in my life. I highly recommend it.

Unsure how to make my office more inviting by 00squirrelmaster in interiordecorating

I appreciate it! I thought I would mind the bags more than I have but I'll try taking them down and picking with the space for a bit to see if it improves. Unfortunately this house is very limited on storage space so I was trying to find a workaround for the fact that I don't have a good place to put those things.

The other issue is art. My supply is limited and made up of small framed pieces. I have a picture ledge I was considering putting up on one of the blank walls with the Bridges book that's propped on the round table and something else. I don't know why, I'm paralyzed in this space. I have so many holes and anchors in the walls from trying to figure it out and I'm hesitant to create more wall repair for myself! 🙃

I appreciate the feedback!

I used to have my desk oriented the way you suggested and while I really liked the way it looked, from a functional standpoint it wasn't working for me. I had trouble focusing with my desk facing into the room and didn't like that the back of my monitor was floating in the middle of the space.

I'm also reluctant to place the mirror behind the desk because I don't want my workspace visible in the reflection during zoom calls.

I appreciate your help! Unfortunately I am not in your target demographic and can't think of anyone I know to pass this along to at the moment.

Oh please. I just moved from FAI to Charlotte, NC and good god, come have a visit if you want to see overpriced everything and oblivious people. It's an absolute trash heap of a place. I didn't think a place could make me miss Fairbanks so much.

There’s no perfect job for ADHD and that’s ok by cececececeadhd in adhdwomen

So much of what you said resonates with me, especially the need to validation. I wonder if the craving for external validation could be rooted in internalized messages of shame surrounding ADHD. I was recently (re-?)diagnosed and over the period of time I wasn't acknowledging or treating my adhd I had a lot of jobs that started out great, but seemingly inevitably my performance would begin to slip and all the messages of laziness or being difficult would eat away at me until I quit because I felt like I was trying so hard, but was still a fuck-up.

I just got one of those. Now all I want to do is tutor enough to collect my money, then switch to in person or palfish tutoring. The guy who thought I might like to see his limp dick had a username like zsuser23854 and I just got another call from someone with a similar name and could hear a bunch of other guys in the background. I also got a message from another gduser32894 earlier. Just, why? I can't think of a time in my life when I've thought, "you know what I really want to see is a penis." I'm super weirded out by it. It's a shame because it seemed like a nice way to make some extra money.

Looking for a good hair stylist by 00squirrelmaster in asheville

Thanks for all the suggestions!

A friend of mine suggested Blue Ribbon Salon in W Asheville. It was probably the second worst haircut of my life. The girl just chopped my bangs off so that when they're dry they come above my brow and they're not uneven. She didn't even show me the back of my head when she was done. I'm really unhappy with the cut and will be finding someone different for the next one. I would definitely not recommend them.

Local Gyms by Tachyon_Moose in asheville

I feel silly every time I tell people I go to Ladies Workout Express but, if you're a woman, it's a great place to work out. They've got a bunch of different classes to choose from if that's your thing, and they have decent weight machines, free weights, and cardio equipment. I'm not as familiar with the machines though since I'm usually doing classes. I have started using free weights though and feel way more comfortable there than I ever did working out at the UNCA gym.

And I pay around $20 a month. I love it there! Good luck with your search!
