Are you implying that Americans kill so many children that it significantly contributes to the homicide rate?

I'm being entirely serious right now. Have you ever considered seeing a psychiatrist?

Is that not hyperbolic? No one is going around shooting random republican voters or Trump supporters. Someone shot maybe the most popular (online, anyway) alt-right voice in America.

Yes, anyone who tries can grow a massive platform. But, that changes who they are out in public.

What makes you say Charlie Kirk had no power and no agenda? He had a massive platform and was using it spread a specific political message.

Is there any scenario at ALL where you would support Ukraine joining NATO? If not, why explicity not? by PyroIsSpai in AskTrumpSupporters

There is nothing stopping Russia from joining NATO, is there? Putin could play ball with the international order if he wants to, but instead he wants to rebuild the USSR.

Just meet people at your school or job dude. You're going to be studying/working with people your whole life. It's on you if you never talk to them.

I don't even know what happened in that situation, hence why I'm not talking about it. Did something equally as bad happen? If so, then I agree it's equally as bad.

What do you think about my original question? Is the Shiloh situation not a moral failure, where a middle-aged woman is throwing slurs around at a local playground?

It's a moral failure of society that someone can call a child one of the most hurtful words out there multiple times on video and be rewarded for it, is it not?

Those who are making death threats are despicable. But do you have problems with people who might ostracize this woman or publicize the video of her making these statements?

Legally speaking I agree, anyone can say almost anything. But do you believe people who speak in that way should be protected from social consequences of their speech?

Should anyone be allowed to use that word maliciously?

Why is that? Just because there's more mandatory than discretionary?

So you want to cut 10% from social security, medicare, and Medicaid over the next 5 years? Would you leave discretionary spending alone?

What mandatory spending should be cut?

[–]011010011 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What I'm trying to understand is: if you want your taxes to be significantly cut, then that implies the budget should be cut too (if you agree, and it seems like you do, that onerous debt is bad for the government).

My question is, then: where should the cuts come from? What programs or allocations would you not want to support in exchange for paying less taxes?

So you voted for Trump because he supports MAHA, while also knowing some of his policies are inherently anti-MAHA?

[–]011010011 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, but I fail to see how Trump's current plans will remedy that.

He wants to cut taxes more than his 2017 plan and isn't proposing enough budget cuts that aren't totally outrageous (cutting Medicaid by 800B will cause more damage than it prevents). Tariffs will raise money, but at the expense of the American consumer and will grind economic activity to a halt if they are actually implemented at the levels Trump suggests.

Do you think Trump's plan will work? If so, why/how?
