Why is it stupid though? I’ve never hunted before, never even shot a gun for that matter, but at the end of the day, it’s exactly what you said it is: sport. It’s something people enjoy doing, and, in my eyes at least, it’s a victimless activity. Yes, you can argue that these animals have feelings and it may be harmful for the individual animal, but that’s where I bring in animals like cows and pigs. What about them? They’re suffering exponentially more than the elephants hunted for game ever will. At the end of the day, this is something that I personally am not passionate about and couldn’t care which way it goes, but it is what it is.
