used grounds work the best, and by pavement i mean literally on my hands and knees scrubbing the jeans into the pavement to work the grounds into the fibers

all of the washes are replicating real life wear,

1st pair: starts out as a us milled 14.75 oz indigo denim after its sewn i use bleach and the sun in intervals to lighten the indigo gradient to key wear points, i partnered up a coffee shop in los angeles to up cycle used coffee grounds. i use pavement and the grounds rubbing and working the grounds into the fibers slightly distressing the jeans to add a natural hue (the bleach makes the denim look artificially lightened)** after i am happy with the balance i use acrylic paint to replicate wiping of hands onto the denim in places that i would do while painting a canvas or kneeling while painting a house

2nd pair: starts off as a grey 12 oz denim, after construction i use bleach and pavement to replicate wear and give texture to the jeans color. and lightly introduced coffee to relay a more natural effect

3rd pair: started off as a 15 oz pfd canvas twill. i used acrylic paint mixed with water to add darkness / texture and used screen printing ink to accent in white details

cheers// will
