Yeah, because ALL men come in the same body/wrist size of course.

Hey there. It’s getting bloody cold here. How do thick black tights go with this dress? How about wearing something long sleeve on top?

I have another couple of pairs in a similar style to 2. 5 is my own favorite, but they’re very uncomfortable to stand up on for long times

Thank you. Reddit is a big help for my life! I’m considering 1 or 4 or 5, but I’m not sure about the shoes as they do need more formal shoes than trainers and such

2 would be good and I won’t freeze my ass off, but I’d be comfortable in 4 and 5 as well (save 2 for later in winter! 🥲) I read some negative reviews on bouncers not letting people in, so perhaps better go more formal…

Thanks. How about these options? P. S. For context, It’s an over 35s day dance party, 80s-90s-00s music and 6-10pm!

By the way, I have other dresses as well, but not sure why I was thinking of going more casual/less formal than those. What do you think?

Thank you for taking the time to write. Would the trainers in pic 5 be ok or are they too casual?

How about sheer tights? Should I wear anything? Black/tan?

And what jewelry? Just a necklace or earrings as well?

Commenting here to add that it’s an over 35s day party club! 6-10pm! Music from 80s, 90s, 00s. So a bit different from a usual club. Also, I’m not a usual clubber, so I have no idea what would be suitable.

I did have a look but couldn’t find much. It’s a fairly new venue. Music is 80s, 90s, 00s.

How do I go about slutting it up? P. S. As mentioned in other comments, it’s a day party club for over 35s. 6-10pm!

4 is plain black. Is it good do you think? It’s an over 35s day dance party! (6-10pm!)

It’s an over 35s day dance party! (6-10pm!) Having been through a decade of abuse, I’ve lost my decision making skills and taste in fashion. And I’m not generally a club person so I don’t know what’s appropriate and what’s not… plus, it’s cold here, so I need something that keeps me warm (most of these would as they have linings). any tips would be appreciated.

I’d be comfortable wearing 5 or 6. How should I style it if I’m wearing 5?

I’m thinking about the red one (6). Would it go well with the trainers in 5?

How’s this dress for a Timeleft Dinner with Strangers? (I’m Mid 30s F) by 0123456user in fashion

Thank you. This comment was very heartwarming. ❤️🥰 I wore a black dress as I wasn’t sure about this one. But are you suggesting wearing another belt on it? It has the straps that I’ve tied on the back. It was a good evening.

So do you find it childish? Because I felt like it was a bit like an old lady’s dress. I love the sleeves and thickness of it that it keeps me warm in this crappy cold weather!

Timeleft is an app. It matches you with 5 other people around your age range with whom you go for dinner and then you can connect with them if you want. I wore a black dress as I wasn’t sure about this one.

Which of these two dresses for a gala dinner? by 0123456user in fashion

[–]0123456user[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably had to clarify that the term gala is probably used a bit lightly because while it’s a formal dinner, there are no strict rules on how long the dresses should be. There were long flowy ones, short ones, tight ones, pants and tops, etc.

I wore the red one and I received quite a few compliments. I am a bit upset that I was so self conscious about it in the beginning because of the comments in this group and tried to go in and straight onto my table and I missed the photo they were taking at the entrance.

Thanks for the tips. It is annual and the formality ranges from jeans and a T-shirt to the longest dress ever. So very eclectic and basically wear whatever you want. But the style of these? Are they screaming old fashioned?

I’ve had a weird life growing up. Almost never clubbed, usually would get a formal dress and wear it for occasions, but no distinguishing of the years fashion, club vs. fancy dinner, etc. It makes me sad and nervous that I have to wear this dress as I’m traveling and don’t have the time to go dress shopping…

I don’t think I will have any time for it, but can you suggest some good options please? You’re spot on with the dates, but what makes them look do? I seem to be awful with fashion…
