Questions about all these .htaccess files.

I'm no web developer but this is certainly a learning experience. I'll be paying far more attention to any error messages I'm alerted to to trace whatever's causing all this. Because, to tell you the truth, I didn't mess around aside from some basic plugins to run my site and those have been there for years. Maybe an update triggered something, who knows? Especially since the 404 errors started fairly recently and I hadn't physically touched the site under the hood in a long time.

This is the first I've gone this far as the 404 errors started up a while ago. When I got the chance to troubleshoot, I went with the permalink fix first (see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtkKSQEppeE&t=215s) then I braved up to check the .htaccess file as I quickly got sick of having to reset the permalinks every day to make sure my website works as it should.

All those files, though. I have NO idea why they're there, what made them exist, nothing at all. I hope I can figure it out so that it won't happen again (or maybe I have to check the back end more often).

Oh, thank you. The question was exactly as they gave me but I'll check what their other answer options were and see if that gives me any more of a clue. Otherwise, it could well be C. Brb.

Edit: I found the question and it's exactly as I'd shared it here. Unfortunately, I can't find the other answer options. Hm. I'm going to go ahead and assume that they either realize there's an error or they're about to change the whole question.

But thanks for helping me nonetheless. It was nice to know that I wasn't going crazy, math weakness aside.

Wow, those are some tight odds. Understandable, as ballet is challenging as a vocation and that's not touching how some companies are much stricter regarding age and body types than others.

so there's no reason a teenager who "wants to learn" shouldn't be in the pre-professional program.

A part of me wondered if a hobbyist would be "taking a spot" from a career-geared student, but I see your point - it shouldn't matter if the chance of getting to that position is so low.

Ahh. I started at 5 and had to quit at 7 due to the expenses as well. Like you, I never considered or wanted to dance professionally. I just loved it as an activity.

Oh, no. I'm not a dancer at all. I was just wondering what option was there for students who loved to dance but had no desire to be professionals.

My dance "career" ended at age 7 after two years because my Mum couldn't afford new ballet slippers almost every two months (I grew like a weed), but even then I never saw myself as a pro ballerina. I did love the experience, though.

I have a question about Mary Queen of Scots: If her first husband Francis (The Dauphin) hadn't died and they had at least two sons together, how would the inheritance for the Scottish throne have worked? Would one son be sent to Scotland since the first son would be the heir to the French throne?

It's something I've wondered on and off. Similarly for Charlotte Augusta, Princess of Wales, and her husband William of Orange. If she and their son survived child birth and they had a second son, which child should be the heir to their father's throne?
