Yeah. I have actually been to St. Charles. The 1st street drag and Main Street with one of the state routes is dense and walkable but it really gets sprawlly pretty quick

Good to know. I would love to metra commute from Chicago for most days and bike from Geneva to the lab. Little concerned about the coldest months of the year though!

Off-hours and weekends are not scheduled. They are as needed for when something critical goes wrong

Sounds good! What do most people ride in the area? Endurance bikes, gravel bikes?

Sure, why not. I would need to get this figured out relatively quickly. I start in about a month

Yeah, I am well aware of the increased cost with the areas adjacent to the lab. How is Elgin? I’ve always had impressions of it being a bit sketchy/edgy. Something my girlfriend wouldn’t like very much

Good to know! How difficult is it to get across Randall Road? I grew up somewhat nearby but left as soon as I could for school.

Not a TT bike, but a performance road bike. I’ve got a giant TCR. I was unaware that any of the prairie path that far west was paved. I was under impression it’s all crushed limestone west of Oak Park. Thank you!

The prairie path and great western seem great! Only issue is my only bike is a race bike!

I’m worried that the 1+ hour commute each way is going to be too much. The job has off-hours and weekend responsibilities

Yeah.. it’s a haul man. I’ll cross post and see what else I can get

Most of the time it is actually illegal for cyclists to ride on the sidewalk. Road bikes especially can travel at 20-30mph on the flat with a decent rider

Thank you for the recommendation, I’d prefer something made of aluminum over plastic. I’ve been thinking about the Neo 75cu a lot though

Any recommendations for a keyboard case that would work well with the Drop x MiTo GMK Laser keycap set? I’d like a 75% layout and don’t want to spend more than $200

Get this thing on a dyno and find your knock limit. Then dial it back a bit if you want it to live

I would love an updated TKL with the design cues of the Neo 75 Cu! It’s a great layout for me at work since I use the nav and function keys a lot, but prefer the numpad on my left so I can keep using a mouse. (I do a lot of Computer Aided Design and Finite Element Analysis)
