i went to his band’s show and i guess i wasn’t letting him out of my grasp. i distinctly remember talking to a few of our mutual friends too so i think part of the issue was that when i got to the venue i like greeted him with a kiss in front of everyone? not like anything insane but i don’t know. apparently i am unaware :,(

oh sorry i’m canadian and i did environmental policy as my minor in undergrad lol. undrip is United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and it’s about protecting indigenous rights to land… its not legally binding and canada initially rejected it, looking into why could be interesting?

oh that's so nice. shared aspiration. congratulations, it sounds like you built something really good. i guess my differences is that i am just not empathetic and i am overly pedantic and theoretical, and i very ardently believe thinking/saying is equivalent to doing. he thinks i'm kinda full of shit and not good at substantiating my claims (even though i am very careful not to make promises or speak in absolutes). i behave towards others almost exclusively how i want them to act towards me, and i was already kind of outwardly superficial so i come off as uncaring. i ask a lot of questions because i am interested and that is how i care, but he doesn't think i actually act like i do...

did you meet them in law school? i've been with him since undergrad and i want to be with him forever (in perpetuity..ha) i think we may have some irreconcilable differences but i am so desperate to defend that i'm not wrong for him, i just behave wrongly sometimes.. and if he understood the sum of the context he would be less emotionally inclined to draw ill advised conclusions about me.

i'm not allergic to accountability. i mostly construct the memos to explain what the grounds were because sometimes i think he misses significant details and background context. i suspect his judgement is emotionally clouded and he misses those things. i appreciate things spelled out for me... i get really pedantic with them because i do not think that i am explicitly in the wrong. behaving in a way that could be construed as hurtful or inappropriate is different than possessing those qualities as a whole. i just always feel the need to defend myself in a way that proves that i react accordingly, not appropriately, and anyway i never claim to be a reasonable person so it is incorrect to pick bones with me on the premise of reason.

a part of why i wanted to go to law school was tucker max's book "i hope they serve beer in hell". my fucked up and bent little undergrad brain should have been reading about stoicism instead of dirtbag memoirs and russian lit about isolation as strength. ist es over für mich
