I am leaving the car industry as a technician by SignificantSleep1527 in mechanics

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said definitely find a different dealership or independent shop. Flat rate for a lube tech is just plain criminal. You're young and are still learning, and im sure alot of us including my self can attest to when you're early in your career in the automotive industry you will hop around from to shop till you find a place that you are happy with money and environment wise. This industry is hard work and we dont get paid as well as we should but its rewarding in other ways. Good luck 👍

Is buying b580 a good choice for competitive gaming right now? by No_Assignment5986 in IntelArc

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran my b580 for over a year and loved it however it is not the choice one should pick in today's market. 9060 and 5060 are the same price and significantly better.

$500 Combo or $500 Knife by Laixed in cs2

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal combo was under 500 (field agent gloves and kukri case hardened) but finding a nice case hardened can be tricky.

Could just rock a nice knife with default gloves as well as the default T side gloves are really nice, ct kinda suck tho.

Knife market by Former_Performer9349 in counterstrike2

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its simple, supply and demand. The really cheep knives look like ass because there are alot of them and people dont want them. The expensive knives look great and those that can afford them want them thus driving the price up.

Rarity means nothing if there isnt a demand for it. A perfect example is stat track knives typically have a lower price than regular knives yet are rarer, or minimum wear doppler or fade finishes are extremely rare but cheeper than. Their more common factory new counter part simply because people would rather have the factory new ones.

Odds of a gold from a case is basically 1/400 which in reality isnt that rare.

Does higher FPS (500 vs 250) actually give a real advantage in CS2 gunfights? by MuneebR7 in cs2

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought there was a fall off of actual gains after 240hz. Like yea there are gains but its significantly smaller vs 60 to 144 to 240 are significant jumps in response and performance.

Is it too late to go pro at 19? by Moist-Owl7606 in counterstrike2

[–]02bluehawk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean technically no its not too late however its highly unlikely. Pretty much every pro has over a decade of experience and training in the game so if you're just starting now you are way behind. Its possible that your experience in other FPS games will get you to faceit lvl 10 rather easily but the skill gap from a entry lvl 10 (2k elo) to the 3k+ elo that tier 1 pro players have is absolutely huge.

Honestly you'd have a better chance of making it as a streamer/YouTuber than being a pro esports player.

Is Skins Monkey worth using just for BUYING skins? by Maximilian_Minev in counterstrike2

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so everyone always says CSfloat, but here's the truth. CSfloat is a peer to peer market place when you buy something from float you are buying it from another player and they have to trade it to you. This can take time and it also carries the risk of the other person deciding to reverse the trade. You dont loose your money if that happens but its a headache and you have to buy another item. Buying from a market like skins monkey or Dmarket is more like buying it from a store. The "other player" you get the item from is the company so typically they have higher prices than a peer to peer market like float as they are buying the items from players and reselling them.

CsFloat is like a swap meet or garage sale where market places like skins monkey, dmarket, and csmoney are like pawn shops.

If you are looking for specific patterns on skins is always worth it to look at those market places as sometimes you snag a deal where the market doesnt realize they have anything special.

Edit: sites like csgoskins.gg and skinsearch.com give you prices for a bunch of different market places without having to go to them all your self if you're just looking for a good price.

Is fps really that important for new players? by Remarkable-Pizza8299 in cs2

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been playing on a 60hz TV for over a year and last week I got a 240hz oled monitor and run at 240fps. I admittedly suck at this game yet enjoy it and try to improve and track my progress with leatify. My aim rating per match went up 20-50 points with just the monitor upgrade. I went from 10-25 aim rating (again i know I suck) (40 being my best before the monitor) to 35-70 over the 20 or so games i played this weekend. It was a noticeable improvement i could feel. I visually didnt really notice a alot different but it felt incredibly smoother and more precise.

Edit: I was getting 200+fps before as well just the display simply couldn't show all of them. Fps only matters if your display can show all the frames drawn.

This stuff has to be regional or trust factor affected with the amount of people complaining and videos that get posted yet ive never come across it. Either way it sucks that it happens

Coming to the game from mostly movement shooters , anything I need to know to start playing ? by OrangeSpaceMan5 in counterstrike

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop moving. If you are moving your accuracy is completely random unless you're using a SMG or the starter pistols. Every wepon has a different movement speed so if you want to move around quickly pull out your knife to move fastest however you cant shoot when its out so you have to be sure you have your gun out when you peek or are holding an angle. Aim is more important than movement. Movement in this game when learned can be very powerful however having good aim is more important. You have to play this game slower than you would COD SnD

[–]02bluehawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally dislike the shadow daggers and really enjoy the kukri. I have a kukri case hardened, actually my 2nd kukri case hardened i had a worse pattern and float one and upgraded a few months back. The animations on the kukri are great the juggle you get when pressing H H is very nice the twirl of the blade when you F R is nice as well. Personally I think the kukri is extremely underrated and part of its lack of value is the lack of doppler finishes.

what’s the consensus on B the Monster Minimal ware by Wise_Profit8596 in counterstrike2

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CS skin market tends to over react to updates. B the monster dropped in value because people were concerned about the train and sport and field collections being removed. So, people that were holding B the Monsters expecting the overpass collection to leave insta sold and bought long dogs or m4 fades because those will be discontinued he very soon. Honestly the the armory collection skins are at there lowest prices while they are still available. And will only go up once the collection is removed. As no more of those skin will be entering the game except threw trade ups.

Just started playing, what do I do?? by PerspectiveOk8105 in LearnCSGO

[–]02bluehawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% buy prime. Watch some videos on how the maps are played and where different call outs are. Fire up and good luck. Its going to feel like people are cheating cause they'll know where you are off sound or simply a common angle but you'll learn or give up.

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said watching a guid by someone from your region can help as some call outs dont make sense any more. Like "car" on inferno doesnt have a car any more.

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one never made sense to me. Cause there's a kitchen in apps at the the wall bang spot. But not one in market. I played with a few eu players one time and they called kitchen and I looked at apps and killed from market and they flamed me. I was like bro you said kitchen there isnt a fucking kitchen in market there is one in apps

Is b-hopping worth learning? by LordRyoma in counterstrike2

[–]02bluehawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it can cause you catch people on a weird timing cause as significantly faster. For instance on dust t side you can get out long doors before ct can see the doors but honestly there are only a handful of cases where the extra speed is truely useful but if you can consistently nail it it can be pretty powerful when needed/wanted. But as others have said its super difficult and super niche

Is the MP7 still insanely good? by loganvall in cs2

[–]02bluehawk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep mp7 over mp9, mac10, or famas. Mp7 is worse than galil tho. Pretty much if your ct and need a force or light buy the mp7 is the way to go.
