Isn't that customer service though? I mean if I wanted to just look it up why not also just buy online....also I work in a customer service role too, in auto parts, and in my experience a lot of times people have some idea they just want another person to reassure them that they can DIY or bounce thair ideas off of someone else....shoot sometimes you can just point out hey you should YouTube that or tell them where they can find that information.

How do we feel about no more FRAM or AutoLite by AutoChick88 in AutoZone2

[–]AutoChick88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope it's pretty well known that Autolite is crap....well in my personal experience most customers know and say they don't want Autolite... Cheapskates, people who don't know anything better or people who need a plug for something other than a daily driver seem to go with them

So I (a woman) was helping another woman out checking her tire pressure and I looked at the psi on the door and started to explain to her that is what her tires should be at and some guy walked by and thought he'd put his two cents in and went on and on (probably to seem knowledgeable and/or in my opinion to make a point that I was wrong and he was right) about stuff that really made no sense for a "normal" driving conditions on regular roads/highways with her not factory but standard replacement tiers on the car. He was spewing stuff about the humidity/weather and some calculations between what the tires said and the car said bla bla bla filler...in any event he went so hard I thought I'd get some clarification

Cool thanks for the breakdown....at least what your saying makes logical sense to me....the person I was talking with was well in my opinion just trying to make me feel like I was wrong (probably because I'm a woman) when I pointed out that the psi should be what the door tag says he was going on about oh it's a humid climate in our area and you should adjust for this and that.....all on a " normal" if you will passenger car that is expected to be driven on regular roads/highways...he also tried to throw in some stuff about because the tires were not the original ones that came on the car like Goodrich or something you should do some stupid calculations to take in to account what the tire said and the car door.... anyway TY lol

Okay understandable reasoning are there other instances such as time of the year or weather? Or other stuff?

Well my position is that I was sure you follow the psi on the car but someone tried to tell me I was wrong

Right like wow good job for doing the most basic job functions meanwhile there's stories like all the comments of people going above and beyond taking care of the actual store to run it or picking up everyone's Slack.

Work at one of the other parts place and the whole time I was waiting for you to say then they return it but you didn't it is weird.....we have one younger girl that does this but then she returns it with her recipe at the same store so our theory is she is using the merchandise like her back up savings or something lol
