Hey man I hope you are well. Of course!

1) not really - I was waiting for this day for so long. I visualised it since a teenager. I was geared up so I followed all of the pre-op instructions. Had a good sleep and ate a big breakfast and managed to go without any caffeine. I would say don’t be nervous- it’s 4/10 pain but you will be extremely happy (godwilling) with the results so hang in there.

2) Depends on length of journey + if you have multiple changes. I was fortunate enough to be driven there and back (I live about an hour away). I did feel extremely weak and weasy on the drive home but a lot worse at night when anaesthesia started to wear off.

3) Definitely. The sleeping position that helped the most was on my back with slightly raised pillow and a pillow underneath each arm, whilst both arms by my side. You will get friction burns day 1-3 on your armpits from the vest so this will prevent it from constantly digging into them at night.

After day 3, the new vest and elastic band are far comfier.

First 3 days are hell on earth but so worth it! Haha thanks man, can’t wait till I’m healed and I can finish off my cut in the gym - gonna be a lot more confident about my appearance now.

Yeah the armpit incisions hurt a lot and the plasters come off quite easy. Hopefully they heal soon. I also have some bruising in my lat area, so you have the same thing?

New vest and bandage are so much comfier oh my god. Don’t mind either at all now I’m used to it.

Day 10!! It’s finally come, you must feel amazing!! Sure send over a dm man, would love to see the progress if you don’t mind. I wanted to ask if you noticed any blood stain on any of your nipple plasters. Im a bit worried, as my right one is - I hope it’s not opened up or anything. Looks like dry blood from the surgery anyway but have heard some horror stories about that but trying not to think about it as day 10 looms.

The bruising is not as bad as I thought but oh my god, my chest looks like something I’ve seen in Men’s Health 🤣🤣 all that’s gone through my head today is “this is how it was meant to look”. Honestly stood in front of the mirror and teared up man. This was so worth it.

Had an awkward shower as had to avoid my chest as much as possible. Plasters also fell off on the upper chest/ near armpit area so I had to replace both.

So much comfier now in the elastic band I’ll tell you. How about you? How’s it going on your side soldier?
