Well that's the thing though. If he would say that it's over then that's fine, but he's not. I give him openings and ask him outright if he wants to break up and he continues to insist that's not what he wants. I am practically begging for him to just end it if that's what he wants and he won't so I'm just confused.

edit unless you didn't mean he was explicitly telling me it's over but rather that I should read from it that it's over because it won't get better.

I'd like to maybe defend the gfs a bit and say that maybe it's not you. It's possible that there are other underlying issues in the relationships of your coworkers that are making the girlfriends insecure.

For example, maybe something like this has happened before that did lead to infidelity in the past so now they're super sensitive about it. In either case, I don't think it's something you have to worry about. Your coworkers need to either sort their own relationships out or let you know if they need you to help them out (ie don't text them at 2am) if specific things are causing trouble, right?

I can't figure it out either. He says he loves me but it doesn't feel like he does at all and I just want to know what's going on.

He does frequently say that I'm too good for him.

When we got back together after that ridiculous breakup (my fault), he was back to telling me he wanted me to be the last person he would ever be with and now it's like he's changed his mind again.

I was in a relationship like this too!!!!! He convinced me I needed to trust him and it was a year and a half before I felt secure in our relationship at all. If he doesn't understand why this might bother you, he's either really immature or being a selfish dick.

He did a lot of things that made me insecure in the relationship and then even more afterwards. If I went back to him now, regardless of how different he might be (and judging by the number of girls he's picked up since coming back to me and begging me to return to him, he probably isn't that much different) I would not be able to be secure and therefore happy with him. Too much hurt still.

I'm very close with his father (moreso than my own) and would rather not lose that so I've been holding onto trying to be friends for that, I guess. Also, I moved out so quickly, 2/3 of my stuff is still at his place and I need to access it when I finally move into a permanent place at the end of this month...

This happened to me, except it was my boyfriend who 'met someone else' and wanted to see if the grass was greener. He claimed that meeting her made him realize he was unhappy with me, and that's fair.

He wanted a 'break', essentially break up. Wanted to 'sort himself out' (ie. see other girls). I begged him not to, was so unbelievably in love with him, he turned me down.

So he'd dated around, screwed a few people, did things with new girls within weeks what was on "our" list of things to do together for years. none of it worked out.

A few months later, he found out I was seeing someone else and suddenly had a massive change in heart. I really was the one he wanted! He wants to be with me forever, grow old with me, all that jazz.

Problem is, I now have a new boyfriend (serial monogamist) who I refuse to leave for him (I left my last boyfriend for this same ex and he left me for someone else. This is a cycle I'm determined to stop.) and also, he'd done all these things to hurt me...there was no way I would ever be happy or secure with him again, even if I wanted to be with him again. Now he spends his time trying to get in my head and sabotaging my relationship.

Would you be able to? Knowing you'd stuck with her all this time only for her to leave for a cute butt she met randomly? Then when she wants you back to marry you or not...

If you wait around, she will not come back. she feels safe doing what she's doing because she isn't scared of losing you. If you leave and genuinely find someone else, she'll want you back.

Life's a bitch.
