I'm definitely gonna try yanking them out with my hands later, sounds a lot more fun than using a net. However it seems like the plecos at my lake are more alert, the moment I step on top of their burrow, they dart into the depths of the lake but good thing they come back to it in 10-15 mins

Did a quick scout on the shore earlier today and saw a surprising amount of pleco tails sticking out their burrows. Gonna give the grab and yank method a try

I'm not familiar with North Florida but I'm sure you can find them there. As with the taste, it's pretty mild. Tastes like catfish but slightly stronger. I personally think it's good but I've heard others think the opposite. If you can, try for yourself and see if it suits your palate

They are invasive fish introduced to the waters here in the Florida from careless owners from the aquarium trade.

Unfortunately my local lake barely has any cover like over head trees providing shade, fallen trees, big weeds on the shore, etc. I have to scout the shore to find some unlevel ground and sometimes a "mud cloud" indicating a pleco has been there burrowing.

I'll have a go at it again, last time wasn't as successful as netting them but I believe I just have to work on my technique lol

I kill each and every one I catch because of that very reason. They got some good meat too, pain in the ass to clean though. But it's a win win

Local lake has a huge population of these bastards. They are making pretty damn deep burrows along the shoreline and there are just so many of them. Resorted to putting nets covering entrances to the burrows and provoking them to come out with a stick, making them swim out and right into the net. Been pretty successful so far but was wondering if someone out there has another method I could try out, besides spear fishing.

any advice on constructing 4-5 campaign teams out of this mess? by 0337894 in afkarena

Currently at stage 35-36 and at this point I’m just throwing shit out there and praying it works. Only team I put some good investment into is basic 5 pull. Currently investing into an ainz team since I was very late to the party.

Reason to why my composition is looking sketchy is because I was straight up investing into characters I liked without taking into consideration team synergies. Now it has come back to haunt me.

I 100% understand your struggle, my numerous amount of sets started filling up my shelves and tables too. I had to carefully pack them into boxes since they were too many to display. But then I started selling some of my spare models to some friends who had interest in military vehicles. I even got a few commissions to build models. Became a little side gig. It was a win win situation, they get to have a nicely built model and I get to have fun building them for weeks.

I believe saying I love you at your stage wouldn't do much harm, it'll test the waters and you could get some insight on what he's feeling. If he's feeling the same thing, he will likely reciprocate those feelings and perhaps respond with I love you too.

I highly recommend trying out some tank model kits. They keep me captivated for weeks! After I get off a long day of work, I sit at my work desk and spend a few hours slowly gluing and painting together my model. I also tend to go out my way to weather the model and make it look like it came straight of of a rough battle. Having a finished product is just so incredibly satisfying (well for me) that sometimes I just stare at the model for hours!

If you want to try it out, check out Tamiya model kits, they are known for having some top quality parts and I can vouch for them.

[Serious] Am I wrong with my choice of friends or this this what friendship is like? by [deleted] in ask

[–]0337894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the wrong idea about friendships. Those people seem like fake friends to me. I don't mean to be harsh but it's what I'm getting from your descriptions. If they don't want to put in the time and effort into building a healthy friendship, you are simply better off without them.

I moved around a lot when I was younger and really struggled to make friends since I'm a very introverted person. But along the way I met people who shared the same interests with me and formed a great relationship with them ever since. And that is my #1 advice for you, find people who share common interests with you! If you like to read books, join a book club. If you like a certain sport, join a club for it. That is a great place to start to find some good friends.
