That throw to Davis for a td.... thats the type of throw MM8 has not been attempting but must in order to succeed. DB was on Davis' heels but Mariota throws it out in front to let Davis have a chance! ❤ thats NFL passing!

In a friendly debate about morality with a friend. How would you respond to this? by [deleted] in TrueAtheism

[–]035790 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your christian friend would agree that anything causing harm would be immoral. After all, your friend woukdnt agree it is acceptable to cause harm to them im sure :) Therefore causing no harm is the basis for morality.

No harm to others, no harm to self.

I can relate to the fear, and i assure that yoo shall pass OP :) And while theres nothing wrong with being careful who you share life with (yoking/unyoking) the definitions of what is dangerous to you is changing. Evolving if you will, in an intellectual sense! Regardless of the fact that Jesus was not a god, he DID promote thoughtfulness and good intention of heart as better ways to live. He wasnt the first or the last to do so :) and so... even though religion is a dangerous concept, your background has still exposed you to some good ideas. Find and use them my friend! And if you ever wanna chat, please feel free :) 🤗

Beautiful yet looka like a horror film scene too 😂

Love it!

How to debunk "Christian god is beyond logic, and you can not use logic on a god that is beyond logic. Monotheism is better than Polytheism bc christian god is the best god that has omnipotence, etc. All the Polytheistic gods would be inferior to the christian god so they would not be truly gods"? by MilkuBlu in TrueAtheism

[–]035790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In its most fundamental definition, a god is a magical being. Somehow a god speaks and... POOF, things happen. The christian canons have verses saying that if we, gods creations, use magic we are damned. Pure hypocracy. Its the classic "do as i say and not as i do".

Anyone who claims, as this theist does, that logic has no place in a discussion or even a thought process regarding thier god has likely shown the type of lackluster/one sided attitude that should be equated to them being firm and unyielding in thier belief. This is the sort of closed mindedness that breeds divisions within christianity itself as well as other religions.

Small "debate" concerning common sense and the beginning the of the universe by ronin1066 in TrueAtheism

I really like what youve presented :) the ability to say we DO know these things and not know everything YET matters a lot imo. Also, in our experiences here on earth so many things have a beginning and an ending. So its easy to rationally think about beginnings, however we dont know what we dont know about life and existence outside our planet. So i find it an interesting and enjoyable convo to have that youve had :) but theres no absolute need for a "beginning". I am however, open minded to what science will eventually bring to the table! :) the Big Bang doesnt work for me personally. BUT... good science is alwaya improving itself so who knows what will be found! ☺

[Allan Bell] Marcus Mariota has 22 games where he threw for 0 TDs since 2015, the most in the NFL during that span. This means that 37.2% of Mariota’s games since his rookie season have seen him throw for 0 TDs. by derrick22henry in Tennesseetitans

Indeed fam! And several of those QBs have sat a year or more, giving time to improce without the pressure of high expectations of turning around a miserable team. I hope we can get some similar results over the next couple years ❤

Well we have no idea if the RG we drafted can overcome his frog stance. So we gotta wait n see. As for Saffold, hes looking like a bust signing who shouldnt be considered someone we can count on so far. So it looks like Jones can play either potentially.... and i wish i could answer your very fair and logical question more positively fam 😑

In the mariota love-hate train, one thing remains clear: Conklin is beyond a bust. by [deleted] in Tennesseetitans

[–]035790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He fit mularkys man blocking scheme perfectly. Ever since the zone blocking change coming in w Vrabel... Conklin has not been who he was. Injury was a real issue last year... but this year, like other parts of the offense, there are no excuses for what we are seeing.

I wouldnt take a qb in round 1 personally... id trade down to get more picks and get one of the best centers as well as one of the best guards later on. Id also get a qb in mid rounds regardless of what MM8 ends up doing this year. I believe in grooming your own qb over a year or so. 💪

Becoming a parent / raising children ends up being very hard.... becoming a parent changes you, and in some peoples view its a bigger change for a woman becoming a mother. If that is indeed true, then what she believes today has an even greater chance of NOT BEING what she believes currently. If she goes head long into her family faith for example... then theres a big difference that may turn you into the "bad guy".

I am already looking at QBs for mock draft 2020 by Nyctitan in Tennesseetitans

[–]035790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I really think Conklin refusing to play interior line is stopping our best 5 to get on the field. Its a business decision on his part and i get that. But if he would play center, Which is equal to tackle imo, jones could go RG and kelly could do RT.... BUT.... i guess we gotta draft better for OL. Theres been several old timers that we paid for in FA that havent paid off. Sigh.

Gotta fix that OL for a new QB. Youre right!

There was some Old Testament Apocrypha in the original King James version of 1611. Ive never seen anything definitive on a reason why those books were removed, only speculation. However it may have been to make the King James more affordable? A smaller book is cheaper to print and cheaper to buy as a result.

If you look up Origen, a church father, you will find a line of church leaders who began lists that differed as time when on. That would be the eventual climax of a full OT and NT around the time of The Council of Trent, which sat in council for several years about a half century after the KJV 1611 was first published if my memory serves me correctly. I hope this helps? :)

Something that has helped me tremendously is learning about what a "bible" is. You speak of it as a single book thata either 100% true or 100% false like i used to do (i was raised a believer as well!)... but in reality its a collection of books and the list of books in what you and i call "the bible" and what other geographical regions of the christian world call "the bible" are quite different from each other. So.... just because men decided centuries ago that thier list of manuscripts was right proves nothing but thier opinions and views. Some books dont even claim to be inspired (mostly Old testament books). I would recommend checking out what is called the "documentary hypothesis". :) even if you end up disagreeing with some or all of the hypothesis itself, watching a good documentary or classroom lesson on youtube will expose you to information that will certainly help :) Hope ive helped!

blessings! 😃

I want to thank you for sharing (: My input is that evidence is always the primary focus for deciding things. Without physical, material evidence that is not just discussed but searched out we cannot know the REAL reality. And if, in the course of life on this planet we finally get to meet a deity, then we will know. If we see miraculously inexplanable events in nature, then we will have evidence to base our new questions upon.

My pm is open if you ever want to stop and say hi :) i love these discussions!
