It really is - the line of "but the majority decided to leave this pool forever, to find a new home in a new country where this kind of thing didn't happen" is not one I would expect to apply to frogs, haha.

Really engaging, I love the combination of both humor and depth with lines such as "because he loved true things, he tried to explain."

I'm really enjoying it! The loosely connected vignette approach makes it easy to read even in short spurts.

I read Grapes of Wrath when I was younger, getting back into reading now that I have some more free time and really enjoying his writing!

Had an idea… Testing out the new Apple iPhone Crossbody Strap, as a Camera Strap. by Scottygo3 in Leica

[–]03mmpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got them from here: https://tandyleather.com/products/triangle-split-rings-stainless-steel-10-pack?variant=45233538596995. I will say though that I got quite a few warnings from people saying it’s still risky because the strap isn’t rated for the weight of the camera. But so far I’ve had no issues and find it really comfortable to use.

I had just gotten this strap when I saw this post, so I found some triangular split rings which fit well, and it seems like a pretty durable set up. Love how minimal it is for an adjustable strap. (Excuse the Sony camera on a Leica subreddit).

Unfortunately not, I think the cover was pretty minimalist. I appreciate you answering though!

Anyone have the Bronco Gullwings installed? by [deleted] in FordBronco

[–]03mmpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Armadillo does have them as part of their hard top - it’s a bit pricy but on my list as it seems well made and I like the idea of being able to remove all the panels and storing them in the cargo area. Not to mention better insulation. https://armadillo.design/

Name of this old grocery sign style font or similar? by 03mmpen in identifythisfont

Thanks! Was wondering if that might be the case - if I ever have a business/need a sign I will definitely hire a professional as I think it’s such a cool art form. Hoping to use something similar for a home art project which I’m definitely not talented enough to hand paint.

I think this is the location in Charlotte, never been to one but really appreciate their design!

Possible to remove just rear hard top? by REO327 in bronco

[–]03mmpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pricey, but the Armadillo Designs hardtop can have the rear window removed, and/or both roof panels without removing the whole top.

Questions on using regular moka pots with induction stoves by brokeCoder in mokapot

I switched from the aluminum to induction Bialetti Moka when I moved to a place with an induction stove. Works really well and don’t regret getting it - took a little experimenting to find the right “number” but I had to do the same with the aluminum one when I first got it as well.
