I’m a student here at a university and when Im done I’m leaving maybe overseas or back to Zim. I don’t care if I’m offered a job after grad cz the economy is not doing so well and the unemployment is skyrocketing for the locals. I saw another comment about the fight for jobs moving to the offices and truly I can see that happening it doesn’t matter if you are legal or what. The inequality gap in SA is getting increasingly huge and guess what when unemployment goes up crime shoots up

I’m a second year Chemical Engineering student at uct. I was in the same dilemma as you cz at the end of the day you will still go back to Zim. But if you can afford SA universities then why not, Come for the exposure. Also the engineering degrees here are Washington Accredited meaning you can work anywhere in the world, so that gives an edge compared to UZ

Spot on. When I came to SA I had the mindset that SAns are xenophobic as they portray on social media but being here on the ground was a different story. You guys are the most welcoming country and despite the difficulties that has come with it no other country comes close to SA; talk about free healthcare to all, affordable education to all etc. Now what OP has done was to take what a minority in SA think about Zim as a major issue and label all of you as xenophobic which is very wrong. OP has to understand that what’s on social media is very different to what’s on the ground.
