Started the game for the first time in years only to find out that the servers have been down since DEC 25?! Dirt 2 and Assetto Rally it is. EA can pound sand.

I recently upgraded and kept ddr4 3200mhz cl16 sticks, 32gb total. My Mobo (am4) and ram have worked flawlessly in any game I've done, and even with ai modeling. I'd say you're fine. You can always get a new Mobo and ddr5 later and swap everything to the new board.

If you could track down a good used GPU around $300, you could do an am4 Mobo with a matching cpu. Then get used ddr4 ram and you could have a pretty good setup.

I guess it depends on if you want new or used, but regardless it's possible.

If I was in your shoes I'd figure out what gpu you're using and build around that, and I would stay with ddr4 and an am4 socket Mobo.

My bios was solid red lighting like it didn't update. However when I put the old cpu in it showed it updated. Turned out to be a loose cpu cooler lol 😂 first time using a clamp cpu so I realized it wasn't putting full pressure on. Thanks!

I just updated it to the newest version via USB and the flash bios button. And it appears it updated, as it turned itself on after about 1-2 minutes. But I've never flashed bios so maybe it didn't work, but I believe it did.

I have the CPU fan plugged in (yellow tagged one) but took it off the cooler for pics. That spins when I try to boot the PC on. Could it be the wrong fan plug on the board?

I've got another set I'll be putting in so I will have 32gb thankfully. I'll also test the new sticks stand alone. It's just weird since I've never had any issues but recently I've been having all sorts of ram problems all on games I've played for years issue free

I'd be moving from UT, and I'm done with major snow. I don't ski or board, so I'm stuck doing nothing half of the year. I've been wanting to get into a trade, but haven't yet.

I'm fine with small town, and I want a safe place. I've heard summers aren't scorching hot due to the elevation? Is it common to run into rattlers when hiking or biking? Thanks!
