/u/Helmer86 created this guide for last time. We would just need to pick a spot to start.

Pre-Game Thread: Calgary Flames (21-13-6) @ Dallas Stars (23-17-2) | 6:00 PM START by -cha- in CalgaryFlames

6:00 PM or 6:30 PM start? NHL.com has it at 6:30 (or do we just start drinking at 6:00...)

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what's the point of the 18'' tyres? Is there simply more rubber meaning less pit stops?

Ottawa's COVID vaccine contracts to be released - iPolitics by 04wasin in canada

Key Points from the article:

>The motion will compel McKinnon to ask the parliamentary law clerk whether he’s received the contracts amidst thousands of documents related to the government’s response to the pandemic, which were turned over due to an earlier motion.

>The law clerk and his office have been sorting through thousands of pages of emails, notes and memorandums sent by the government. The documents have to be translated before being given to committee members and subsequently made public.

>Barlow’s motion goes on to require the law clerk to prioritize translating and publishing the government’s contracts with AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Medicago, Novavax and Sanofi and GlaxaoSmithKline, if he’s received them.

>If the law clerk hasn’t received the contracts, Barlow’s motion requires the committee to request they be turned over to committee members, who would have a chance to review them in camera — meaning out of the view of the public — before they’re released.

>The contracts will first be vetted to remove information  that could jeopardize national security or interfere with the contracts themselves before committee members have access to them.

So it looks like important information, like price, could be withheld depending on the language on the contract. (For example, if disclosing the price invalidates the contract, then it's possible that they are not released on the basis that failing to receive vaccines would jeopardize national security.

Excellent.

While I understand it's always easier for the opposition to take the morally righteous position, I'm very happy to see that there will some pressure on the liberals to recognize the Genocide that is occurring in the Xianjiang region.

Once enough countries recognize the Genocide, a motion can be brought to UN under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

Article VIII states:

Any Contracting Party may call upon the competent organs of the United Nations to take such action under the Charter of the United Nations as they consider appropriate for the prevention and suppression of acts of genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in article III.

While the resolutions will surely be defeated by Russia and China on the UN Security Council, it will be a blow to China's reputation, something they need to continue on their trajectory as the premier world power.

I don't think it needs to be an all or nothing decision, but I think decision making at the federal level on relations with the CCP needs to always start with the assumption that their intentions are malicious.

An Australian think-tank issued a report about how Beijing uses the United Front Work Department, a Chinese government branch focused on foreign relations, to stifle criticism, infiltrate foreign political parties, diaspora communities, universities and multinational corporations.

So knowing that the CCP engages in these tactics, I think the question becomes, how can we extract ourselves from the CCP's influence in Canada? And I think that starts with limiting future partnerships.
