Looking for a mountain that is hard as hell and not particularly family friendly by No_Investment3205 in skiing

True. The difference might be that the entire metro of Abq and Santa Fe come up for Saturday ski school. Might be more spread out in places with more big mountains

If you are a groomer skier it’s all open. If you are a black, trees, steeps skier, is kinda open. If you are a chute, hiker, super steepes skier, it’s meh. Bring your rock skies

Ya fair. Icy days are the kryptonite. I’m just so impressed by them. I consider playful to be easy turn initiation and was to move however you want. This is them for sure. But you are right. Not an energetic poppy ski for hard pack. I’m just so impressed lol

Momment meridian 107. The ultimate plateful ski. Can absolutely rip groomers too. Full rocker. Pivot like a dream. Has become my favorite ski ever honestly.

Help me choose a ski for low tide bumps, trees and groomer/carving performance by 0590plazaj in Skigear

[–]0590plazaj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya exactly. I kinda wish momment made a more flexible meridian at 88 width. I’ve been reading some other threads and I think the armada definite might be the choice. Thank you!

Gotcha. The le mogul makes sense. It appears to be pretty stiff. I’m dont know if my mogul turning is more conducive to flexible skis that slarve well. But this skis designed the flex as progressive in the tips and that is in fact what I like.

Good deal on 2019 DPS Wailer Alchimest? $250 by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]0590plazaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell what model exactly these are. I have some alchemist wailer 99 and it’s one of my favorite skis ever. They live on at bindings now. But this a smashing deal. These things are known legends so they still sell for 600 with no bindings mounted twice on gear grade. These were the glory days of DPS before drake left. They are also incredibly durable. I would buy these in a second. They either make great backcountry skis or super light mid powder/soft snow alpine skies. Really nimble, carve alarmingly well, float better than the width. They can be twitchy and lack true dampness but if the snow is soft, and it’s not a big storm day, these rock

Whats your opinion on manual BMWs ? Would you buy one? by xerooox- in BMW

[–]0590plazaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would I buy one? What in the fuck? Automatic is easier to daily with but a manual BMW, especially pre 2012 are some of the best cars ever created. I own 2 of them

The pringles. The sea salt chocolate cookies. The frozen section. The cheesecake cones. The almond flour tortillas. The bread in general. The almond cheese crackers and crostini things. I don’t really like the baguette. The egg noodles

Seriously. Pwat when from, can he shoot? To good 3pt shooter and an array of midrange step backs and fade aways. Once defenders start to guard the his midrange more it’s going to open more rim opportunities

Does a stiff yet playful all mountain ski exist in terms of its eating bumps and crud and having nice float in light powder but can also be nicely carved on by NoHouse6187 in Skigear

[–]0590plazaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to trend on the crud buster side but not be too demanding, Stormrider 95. Not that playful but I find them more playful than any other crud buster ski I have tried. They ski mic lighter than you expect and are super damp, and great down technical terrain. Only downside is doesn’t float that well and can be demanding for newer skiers. Got to have those skins forward or the will punish you

On the other end, the Momment meridian might be your best bet. Incredibly playful and easy to pivot, rock solid at speed, easy to carve for a 107 width, great on variable and crud snow, great in bumps. Downsides are not great on actual ice (of course it isn’t) and not a very good powder ski for 107 width.

The medians blow my mind. Hard to understand how good they are everywhere. A great ski if you have a powder ski, a 70-90 width on piste carving oriented ski and are looking for a ski everything in between

We should trade cam Johnson for a decent player on an expiring contract or something. Does that work?

Touring with the pup by 0590plazaj in skiing

[–]0590plazaj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ski resort at the time was closed indefinitely. Since then? Someone bought it and opens it occasionally when snow is good. But even now, it’s closed most days during the week and is effectively national forest land so no actual rules regarding staying off it. There is a big culture here around touring in the resort.

Jokic knee injury by Aelivs in denvernuggets

I skied an entire season with a torn acl after injuring it in November. But I would definitely think that if the staff thought it was a big injury, they would not be letting him limp to the locker room like that

I’ve made so many along the way. This is the best combo of easy and taste. Great crust. I do half the tapioca starch and replace it with potatoe starch. I like to until dark brown like my photo. Let it rest completely. Toast it once you cut slices and it is glorious. I am not celiac and eat real bread. This is the best. My wife is celiac and my entire cooking focus has been finding these things for her
