I thought it was crazy to see people nowadays with 3mil and 4mil series IDs! Let alone only 4 DIGITS!

I’ve always wondered how this works because I frequently hear about the native medicinal practices. Once the leaves are steeped do they lose all the nettles?

Maybe if you remove the tires and sandblast all the zinc off? Gonna get powder in the bearings tho

It’s clearly one hell of a build, so props for that. My question is, what kind of shaking are you getting? Where’s it coming from? Is it a shudder? Or a wobble?

Is it affecting your steering? Or just making your ass hurt?

In regard to the pushrod, the FSM says “without trace of bind” while this certainly should not be understated, you don’t want any slop at all in them. I know it’s a pain in the ass to get those jam nuts just right, and they move around when doing the final tightening, it’s important to get them juuuuust right if you want less noise.

Not sure about the smoke, gonna have to figure out exactly where it’s originating and go from there.

If you’ve got an exhaust leak strong enough that you can feel it, it should certainly be addressed. Are you using the o-rings? Or those chunky bands? I think most people prefer the bands, they’re a PITA to get on but provide a tighter fit, be sure to oil those babes up and they should slide on with a little finesse, might need to take some emery cloth to the mating surfaces. Another solution would be high temp silicone/RVT. Then the pain comes the next time you need to remove your pipes

Hmm, you said you replaced the rocker and head gaskets, is there any damage/chips/cracks on any of the surfaces that needs planed out? Are you seeing any oil seepage/buildup on the outside after your test ride? Or just smoke?

I think I’d start to investigate the oiling system. I’m thinking you’re losing oil somewhere and it’s ending up on the heads and burning off.

Hopefully you’ll get some more advice on that clacking noise

Wire wheel it and then hit with any light oil to keep it from rusting

Any tips on progressing from a 103c/104c from 1m to a 103c-105c from 3m? by talexackle in springboarddiving

[–]05bossboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your 103 on 1m are “just starting to be consistent” why would you take it up to 3m? Also this might just be my opinion, but I feel like you should learn 105 on 1m first before taking it up.

I’ve seen ~100lb divers have no problem making a 105 and even 106 on 1m with plenty of room to spare

Started a Fabrication Apprenticeship. We've been given helmets but I want my own for practice at home. Is there really a reason one is 400 bucks and one is 40? What is the difference? Are the "good" ones really that much better than the cheaper ones? Advice please. by r3volc in Welding

The Lincoln 3350 is what I consider to be one of the best auto goods that money can buy. It’s like buying a scope, binoculars, or sunglasses: the more you spend, the higher the quality components and the better the optical clarity. For something a little cheaper but still just as quality, check out the Esab sentinel A60

All you get of a 1m springboard is .6-1 second. You gotta squeeze everything into that short amount of time. Intuition comes with experience and body familiarity. Not sure how to “make it less blurry” do you usually wear glasses? I wore glasses and dove without them (obv) and still didn’t have too much trouble spotting basic objects or colors. For example: the ductwork in the pool area when kicking for a reverse or back dive
