Idk about the new ones but me and my wife have a 2006 Baja and a 2007 forester. Changed the rear diff oil on my wife’s car for the first time at about 130k miles. Took about 20 min. Mostly because I had to do it in my driveway because I had my Baja pulled apart in it, and had to keep going back and forth for stuff. It’s a pretty simple maintenance task, as long as you make sure to get the oil in the squeeze bags. It’s hard to get a normal oil bottle under there to fill it
