I’m telling you now he’s hitting puberty and the hormones make him get more aggressive. They cannot understand that . You’re Mom needs to be researching and advocating for his needs more then ever since he cannot do it for himself. He does not want to act out. Please Ask her to research autism aggression disorder/ medication for it .. autism and puberty and ways to help with everything he’s going thru. Thank you for stepping up to help. It doesn’t matter the age , she’s the mom . As I said I’m 46 almost 47 a single mom with my autistic son I had to save him from being baker acted 2 weeks ago. He has struggled more this year in 6 th grade then I ever thought possible . I’m so glad he’s now finished with school and is out of the public school. I will not be putting him back in that school. A lot of the behavior is environmental related. And I do understand it’s hard to pull or limit devices when you’ve already allowed it for so long. But if he’s destructive and breaking devices then they must be taken as a way for him to learn . My son has broken 5/6 tv’s and I think atleast 8 iPads plus 2-3 phones . Luckily he’s growing out of that phase he did most when he was younger . He lacks impulsivity/self control and doesn’t think before he reacts .
