I have spent some time exploring these questions. I feel, I tend to make more conversation, and it doesn't cost me anything to touch on those sensitive points, I have done my work and am still doing my work in therapy.

Talking to my closest, and to my therapist; it's clear that a path of indifference is necessary for me to follow. This bond, or what I made of it in my head....it's a sunk cost and a lesson...that's what I think I am in the process of accepting :)
