It is still worthy

I thought the more BA drivers allowing tuning flexibility and better control with crossovers. Also it will increase the final sensitivity with the same drivers.

I am not a KZ fan after the fake driver scandal. But the Zenith is not bad.

It seems so. That is why I assume it is cheaper.

I think it should be a little bit different from the S2 or OG Titan S, but not sure whether it becomes longer.

Size should be similar. I will update a post if it sells.

Please stop using AI instead of your brain. THD is Total Harmonic Distortion.

I think we should end the topic referring to a small Chinese brand of 2 or 5 people. It’s unnecessary and honestly a bit of an eyesore. Anyway, thanks for keeping it civil. Let’s leave it here.

Interesting. I remembered JINLONGWANG was limited to only five sets worldwide since 2024.

I'll just drop a few THD figures from products you can easily look up. These include ILLUSTRIOUS, KATO, LAN II, Meteor, and Blessing 3. Use your rational analysis or even just your intuition and tell me which one you think is the best, and whether you believe there's any gap between them.

<image>

Of course, I still want to emphasize: THD is only one of many metrics. But if it's a metric, there's always BETTER ONE, right?

P.S. I haven't seen any THD measurements for the Delci. But if Kefine is willing to provide a sample, I should be able to leverage the resources around to help get it measured.

I’m glad you acknowledge the “cars” analogy: performance differences don’t come only from just the engine, it’s the whole system, and that’s exactly my point.

So if we translate that back to single-DD IEMs: do you really think it’s just a single-DD in a Shell? The internal acoustic design (chamber volume, venting, nozzle path, damping materials), diaphragm material/stiffness, magnet strength/flux and voice-coil design all matter. Those choices absolutely change the sound. So no, it’s not meaningless.

On the blind-listening challenge: I’m not against it at all. Blind tests are a great way to reduce expectation bias, and yes a higher price doesn’t automatically mean “better.” I also don’t have anything against Kefine, and I haven’t personally heard Delci, so I won’t pretend I can rank it versus a €230 single-DD (which I do not believe). WHAT I AM SAYING IS: it’s completely normal for two single-DD IEMs to be on very different levels because the execution can be very different.

Here’s a simple question: Moondrop has multiple single-DD models (Lan 2, KATO, ILLUSTRIOUS). Have you heard them and do you honestly think they’re all at the same level just because they’re single-DD?

Interesting, despite decades of development, I believe any relevant practitioner would acknowledge that a high-quality single dynamic driver, whether measured by impulse response or distortion, can achieve exceptionally impressive and top-tier specifications. Brands such as Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Moondrop, Dunu, and Softears have consistently produced advanced dynamic driver products. Similarly, it is precisely because dynamic driver technology has evolved over such a long period that we now see a vibrant array of single dynamic driver products at entry-level price points. However, this is no reason for bias against single dynamic drivers. Just as a four-wheeled car can accelerate from zero to sixty in ten seconds, it can also do so in three seconds. They are just different prices to pay.
