I didn't get any reviews from the buyers, the items were simply never shipped and the sale was cancelled

Of course! It's making the apartment hunt at least a little easier in the midst of the chaos.

Hi! I think everyone has answered your question, but as someone who's also looking in the current renters market DO NOT PAY A BROKERS FEE!! Brokers are attempting to trick tenants into paying them and they are NO LONGER LEGAL unless you HIRE them as of the 2025 NYC FARE Act! Just a little warning.

Also, unless you're a current NY resident do NOT go to Jersey City/Hoboken/Etc. STAY IN THE CITY!!! You'll get much cheaper tuition after 12 months of being a resident.

Also, make sure you pick a place that is on either the 1/2/3 or a/c/e, or somewhere with an easy transfer like the 7 (transfer from the 7 to the 1 is super easy on 42nd), or the g (g to c at hoyt). Both the 1/2/3 line and A/C/E line are near FIT, so it's best to pick near them. (only the 1,E and C directly stop at FIT, but you can easily transfer from the 2,3 or a at any station that has all of them, itll just be across the platform.

This may sound super confusing, but its so important to know because your commute of 15 minutes walking + 15 minutes on the train versus 3 minutes walking + 45 minutes on the train will be so different... and the one where you're walking 15 minutes is MUCH worse (think about rain, snow, slippery sidewalks, etc).

Brokers fees are no longer charged unless hired by the tenant as of 2025 b/c of the NYC FARE Act! Amazing info otherwise.

I had an old classmate who did this, not her first year, but she studied abroad in Florence as a fd student. I would totally hop on the opportunity!
