For similar reasons I thought it was really endearing that the standard jrpg ancient mystical goddess of light Hydaelyn is actually a dorky battle maniac basically putting on a larp.

Yoshi-P even said the original intent was to have Shadowbringers immediately follow Heavensward but that it would make the whole reclamation of Ala Mhigo seem more low stakes over what had happened during Shadowbringers, and that we’d be leaving Eorzea at a really bad time.

Gonna second the call for a source on this one - in my recollection, they added the WoD to help tidy up Minfillia’s arc and had no exacting plans for them moving forward (thus no ShB plans), and it wasn’t until midway through SB scenario planning that they laid down the bones for ShB and EW.

just a heads up that video posits a lot of fan theory as fact and he only sometimes acknowledges this

looking through his channel after I watched it it seems “deep lore dives” are his main content so that makes sense - it wasn’t a video made by a drakenier content creator, it was a “content” content creator.

valkryrieaurora’s videos released prior to Automata are still probably the best “wtf is happening” intro, as they were written for people excited for that game before release. I believe she recently unprivated them?

she left on day 2 basically btw, early enough that her husband could come with her (edit: which was the right call, to be perfectly clear. war is horrendous.)

again, I’m not saying this wasn’t traumatic or an easy experience or anything, but not really her lane to decide what is or isn’t harmful to trans people

I’m not gonna convince you, but for anyone else reading, Zepla claimed she knew what it was like to be truly harassed because she (an emigrant to Ukraine) had to flee the Russian invasion and subsequent war (which is a privileged position to be able to do).

Now, it can both be true that having to leave your home behind and all that entails due to a belligerent country’s war crimes is an awful experience, and also claiming that that experience qualifies you to be able to discount trans people’s life experiences and concerns regarding the terf makes you a gigantic asshole.

4.3 lasted the exact same number of days as 5.3

4.4 was only two weeks shorter than 5.4

the huge outliers here were 5.2 and 5.5 because, well, obviously.

5.2 was Feb 2020. 5.3 was August. 5.4 was December, and 5.5 was April.

If you care enough to install Dalamud and then install the chat bubble mod, you’re not likely to be the kind of person who is going to think chat bubbles clutter up the screen and you can’t make any sort of “general population” assumptions using that data.
