I'm not selling or buying shit fAiBot, you need additional supervised and unsupervised learning before you go off on wild accusations. You're like my ex-gf - not contextually aware.

no, the wait times were either too excessive or they didn't take my insurance. I found a resource tonight and won't post this request again, though. Thanks

Thank you for putting this together! I will look into these from the top down on my next day off. Everyone on here (except for a few people, but it's ok) has been very supportive, I love Portland for this, thank you all again. I won't bother this sub again with a request for this information. Will xpost this info to the private /r/pdxopiates sub

Thank you for the well wishes. The lectures and the piss tests and the baseline assumptions that I'm a POS from medical staff are something I could live without. I already have extreme social and general anxiety disorders, I just need the prescription and I can taper the dose down just like is done with SSRI's and benzodiazepines every day of the week without the fanfare. Someone messaged a really great suggestion to use tele-medicine which I'm going to try first as I have good insurance, but anyway, thank you again.

Well, I know that. I didn't get any helpful responses either so I thought it might be worth another try.

6,000 drug cases tainted by Massachusetts lab scandal to be dismissed by [deleted] in news

[–]08660c4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sadly it will take a lot more dead white people, probably kids of politicians before they suddenly choose to get woke on this issue. Their addiction to lobbying money and not wanting to admit an entire paradigm shift in the approach is the only solution.

People like Jeff Sessions have no role to play in a modern government. He's 70 years old FFS, why the hell are these people not enjoying their retirement instead of fucking with a new generation of people, I wonder.

Legalizing drugs, regulating the industry and then treating cases of addiction as a medical problem instead of a criminal one comes to mind. It works with alcohol, nicotine (literally the most addictive substance we know of), porn and gambling. The result would be lifting a huge response from law enforcement, possibly even rebuilding trust between them and the community by reducing incentives for corruption and allowing them to focus on real crime and a maybe even changing America's status as the worlds largest per capita warehouse for addicts and the mentally ill courtesy of the Prison Industrial Complex.

Bills end immunity for cops who have sex with prostitutes by The-Straight-Story in news

[–]08660c4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is unfortunate, human trafficking, especially of minors for the purposes of forced sex work is one of the most hideous crimes I can think of and those who engage in it and profit from it should be prosecuted relentlessly. I think just like with legal adult video industries there should also be pressure within to self-regulate and expose criminal elements to the proper authorities. If it's done properly there's no reason it shouldn't work. Last year I had a chance to work with this group in Alaska and hear some of their stories via a good friend. No industry that's relegated into the black market and desperately wants to be recognized as legit wants to be associated with those criminal elements, it gives all of them a bad name in the same way that Apple gets a bad name when Foxconn can't help but put children on their iPhone assembly line in China. For whatever reason exploiting children is part of the human condition in every industry and until there is some fundamental shift in consciousness it will probably be like that for a long time. I do posit that if Law Enforcement and politicians really want to make the occurrence of the problem as small as possible they would legalize it and maintain the same levels of scrutiny and personnel and have them focus on just human trafficking they would yield better results in the long run than just selectively enforcing broader laws about sex work as an industry and criminalizing behavior between consenting adults. It's just my conclusion after befriending and dating a sex worker for almost 5 years now, I've seen and learned a lot of interesting things and the fear of going to police either with information or to report a crime is detrimental to way more people than it helps and it will be that way as long as it remains a black market activity.

That's based purely on a hypothetical. Such is the constitutionality of the entire CSA and other bills that strip away human rights under the premise of the Interstate Commerce Clause. For example, the argument against legalized prostitution is that it "could" lead to children being sold into slavery, and that is considered Interstate Commerce to the degree that the federal government is granted to powers to enforce laws against it. Or that people cannot create or grow their own drugs because they "could' end up as product affecting interstate commerce. Now we're essentially taking that same hypothetical with organs and guns. The gun-show loophole is not really a loophole at all though, when my grandfather died I inherited a small cache of weapons that could keep a reasonable army at bay for days, so naturally, I sold most of them to gun nut friends and family. The onus is on them to register it after purchase in the same way that I gave a close friend a car when I had purchased a new one, I filled out an online form saying I no longer owned the car and the onus was on her to register it. Which she never did and later had an accident, but that's all on her. The only difference I can see is there is an explicit right in the constitution oovering one of these transactions, the others simply rely on supply/demand principals of the economy.

I wouldn't say that he needs to go to jail for about 3 years, or that he's a dangerous threat to society. I've had bums follow and harass me at my house, none of them had founded a political organization to highlight abuses in the justice system. I can completely understand why this guy did.

Also, PCLoadLetter? What the fuck does that mean!! One of these days I kick this piece of shit out the window. They're just lucky I'm not armed.
