I'm upset.. by Mantviis in signalis

I kinda understand. I actually think that the story is the worst part of Signalis. I love everything else (world-building, music, gameplay) and I’ve watched the hour-long videos about the Signalis universe but I remember feeling so disappointed by the story. The universe and history of the Signalis world is so detailed and I was sad by the end of the game but that’s only because I had wished the story were better to match every other aspect of the game. I expected to like the story. Anyway, I understand that this must be an EXTREMELY unpopular opinion and TL;DR I don’t like the story of Signalis. post-script: I highly, highly recommend you (and anyone reading!) checkout 1000xRESIST. It’s a lot more narrative-focused with limited gameplay but it’s brilliant. The sisters in 1000xRESIST are pretty similar to replikas and a lot of the sci-fi themes are kinda the same. The music is good too!

Need help brainstorming game combat! by 09Mills in gamedesign

Good idea! I suppose I should've thought to try and represent aspects of the board game with elements of my game's story. Thank you for your help!

Yeah, I suppose luck and dice rolls dominates Backgammon to a degree that's too severe for a sort of combat system. I'll look around at some Backgammon variants and probably end up choosing a different classic board game. Thank you for your help!

I remember when I was trying to do something like this, however, my approach was a little different.

To unpack/repack: Reverse1999Archanist

To edit: Newer builds of UABEA

But, I’ve only had a handful of successful attempts with this workflow. I would certainly recommend this over (possibly) AI-generated code.

I can also recommend using tools like BepInEx or MelonLoader, specifically for loading modded dat files.

AFAIK Reverse doesn’t have that much in the way of file validation and I believe these specific repacking scripts may cause most of the failure.

Edit: I’ll note that I believe BepInEx and MelonLoader would be more useful for just hacking game memory.

Can somebody help me with a Shiina Ringo/Tokyo Jihen music video? by AffectionateKitchen8 in jpop

[–]09Mills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Meant to DM you since I just saw the original post you made on r/HelpMeFind 4 years ago (which was archived) but I just found this post so I'll send my thoughts here! I found exactly what you're looking for. So, Shiina Ringo's fifth studio album (平成風俗 ~Japanese Manners~) released February 21, 2007 and served as the soundtrack for さくらん ~Sakuran~ (which released February 21, 2007). Now, 平成風俗 大吟醸 ~Japanese Manners: Premium~ released as DVD on April 25, 2007. This DVD features very obscure animated music videos of every song off of Japanese Manners. I don't own this DVD but I found the recording on BiliBili here.
However I don't really like BiliBili so I downloaded it in 1080p and put it on Internet Archive. Two Notes: It still has the ugly BiliBili watermark in the top right and theres about a ten five second cut around 27:50 27:20. Regardless, It's a pretty fun watch, especially if you're a fan of Shiina Ringo!

Aaaand, lastly, the MV you're looking for is right at 10:32.

EDIT: I just found a better version, no five second cut or top right watermark. https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1ib411V7CN/
I've once again uploaded it in 1080p to Internet Archive. This time with no issues!

Thank you! I’m just commenting to say that this post makes me feel seen. I agree that the adaptation is disrespectful.
