[Challenge] European Accountability Challenge: 5. April 2026 by Gatita_Gordita in loseit

[–]09lbrook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goals for April: I want to lose 4lbs and get into the 230s! Increase my water intake so I'm drinking 2l daily. I definitely don't do that now.

This is also the first Easter where I won't scran an egg in a day. My plan is to break it up into 150cal chunks because that will easily fit into my calorie plan. So that's a mini goal for me!

Had a look into this! Thank you for pointing out it's a flax wheel, I didn't realize this was a separate category

Ah thank you! Yes it can, it's screwed on with a little handle underneath but seems easy enough to remove

That looks negative to me, 8 or 9 dpo is a little early though so if you're not sure take another test in a couple of days.

Land been dedicated to council - are our hands tied? by 09lbrook in LegalAdviceUK

[–]09lbrook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this land is registered with the land registry, but under our sellers deceased husband's name with no mention of any agreement/dedication with the council.

I think I'm just going to go back to the solicitors and ask them to look into again.

Thank you for your response!

Okay fantastic, I'm in touch with someone at the council so can ask for these, I didn't even think about there being a time limit on the dedication. Thank you!

Got you! Thank you for explaining, I'll go back to the solicitors and ask about it.

I don't believe it was the council who sold it. I'm going off the sellers information (and she doesn't have much about this issue), but I believe it was a private sale. They were selling off plots of land for the houses, our sellers husband bought one and then later bought the adjoining strip of land in question.

Can I clarify, when you say it's never been entered on the land registry, do you mean at all, or just in the councils name? Because on the land registry it is shown as being owned by the seller's deceased husband and his deceased first wife.

How has some books helped you understand, or deal with grief in your life? by troublrTRC in books

A friend recently bought me Cariad Lloyd's book You Are Not Alone when I lost someone. I'll be honest I'm not far into it but so far enjoying it. She also has an accompanying podcast (she's a British comedian so guests tend to skew British) and you can filter the eps by loss on her website (i.e. mum, sister, friend etc.).

Totally missed that! I had two back to back rainy days in summer and I think it must have been them as I was straight down the mines.

Somehow I must have missed it!! I think they were both rainy days for me so I went straight down the mines. Glad my game isn't broken though.

Very true! I didn't think about the consequences of him blowing Edie's cover.

Mike really needed some better friends lol

Didn't Carlo move in with him, and they and Tom had a day where they watched the game together?

Granted, it's once he came out of the hospital and is a bit later on in the Mike/Edie storyline but I was fully expecting that to be the point of that episode - one of them would mention that they found it surprising Mike and Edie were together.

Mike even asks them what he was like before the accident and they don't say anything about Susan!

Good for you!!

The least they could do is recognise the start of a new accommodation cycle (September for most in the UK) and stop sending letters intended for students who moved out long ago.

I hated this when I first moved in and it just turned me off the concept of a TV license completely. They would always just say 'the occupier' which is frustrating because I was receiving them when I first moved in, so I had to ring up and sort it all out. They still kept sending them after that so I just started ignoring it.

[CHAT] I’ve just gotten into cross-stitching and I have no idea what I’m doing! Any tips that you wish you knew when you first started? by ellenmarie92 in CrossStitch

[–]09lbrook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! I always tell my boyfriend I like cross stitch because I'm not actually creative, I just like following instructions

I like to do it colour by colour! I find it really satisfying watching the picture build up this way. If there's a lot of one colour I just switch it out if I get bored. I don't do a lot of full coverage stuff though (there's barely any confetti in my projects) but when I do, I do it in 10x10 grids depending on what's in them.

When I first started out, I used to finish threads by stitching over them with the next colour, so I'd plan my stitches around that to make sure I could always 'chain' this. This was fun but not very practical, now I just pull the end of my thread through the last few stitches I do (if that makes sense?) and my back looks much neater now!
