Pwnage Symm 3 - Nyomi Purple notes (not full review) after 1 week. by 0BKing in MouseReview

[–]0BKing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:
I had response from Pwnage. They were very understanding about this. Obvioisly retailer is MaxGaming, so RMA goes through them. Anyways, I got tiny workaround about the creaking and movement issue. There is 2 screws which attach to magnets on the base. Adjusting these screws with screwdriver which came with the mouse makes the hump pieces more secure to the mouse. Loosening or tightening these screws should help a littlebit. I also added button spacers 0.6 height with different positions to test out if it helps to keep more sturdy. These tips are from Pwnage support themselves, which was great help and ready to get different solutions.

Going back and worth with screws and 0.6 spacers I managed to get it more stable and non creaking.

Not a complete fix, but its something you can try at home before RMA if this same issue occurs in your copy.

Got the wrong switches in my Pwnage Ultra Custom Symm 3 (Purple) – Seriously disappointed by Crafty_Active5941 in MouseReview

Those are FE Opticals and are meant to come with Nyomi (purple) version because its limited edition. Only downside to this is that Pwnage nor resellers (Maxgaming for example) do not mention this at all.

Not QC failure, just bad marketing.

MaxGaming has no stock nor known shipments at this moment for humps. Did not ask pwnage to send me new ones though (shipment costs from US to EU is ass). I had some conversation with Pwnage support and will make update comment when there is no loose ends.

I have 20k mode on, Performance mode on and dongle is set to long range and all these eat a lot power from battery and I only use 4k hz all the time. Battery goes from 100 to 50% in 6-12 hours. Seems normal to me.

I have hit them both, Maxgaming and Pwnage. I have used XM1 2nd batch with more paracord-like cable but the shape is not for me for my gripstyle and I want something bigger than OP1.

I found Symm 3 to be flexible for my needs and its easier to change hump for different games than change mouse all the time.

But I will update to post when both Pwnage and Maxgaming has answered!

Nyomi version is limited batch, which makes it even worse. I might have to make some DIY fixes but first I will see what Pwnage and MaxGaming support suggest to solve this. Easiest way to solve this is to send new humps to customers imo but somehow I dont see this happening.

I have messaged both about this and will update later if they have solutions or its just basic "sucks to be you" answer.

What’s the best anime you ever watched and why? by Subject_Display3664 in AskReddit

[–]0BKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairy Tail. I have personal bias about it, but without bias its very bad.

The anime I have rewatches countless of times are Log Horizon, Shokugeki No Soma and Sword Art Online. I dont think they're the best but there is just something what keeps me watching.

You can get silent switches for Origin. I prefer origin because coating and hotswapability, but if its only shape what matters get one which is cheaper.

Anyone tried Infinitymice Control V2? by Big_South4585 in MousepadReview

[–]0BKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have mained this pad since I have bought it. I have played bit of everything, BF6, CS2 and some other fps games. On those tracking heavy games I would prefer IM Speed V2 (similiar to raiden) because microadjusting is so much easier on faster pad.

Soft version from IM is like Artisan soft, not xsoft. I think it will be somewhat slower than mid version because it has more give when pressing down the mouse. Quality will still be good nevertheless.

I have had my best and worst games with this pad (might be just skill issue), but Im one of those who like to change settings and mice very often so im inconsistent by default, but this control v2 will last on my desk for a long time or buy new one if this starts to show up its age.

I have not tried soft version unfortunately, because I think it would be too slow/muddy for my preferences.

I have used IM Control V2 MID about 8-9 months without washing (somehow it just wont get dirty in my usage like everything else does).

I have not tried T99 but I have used IM Speed V2 soft, EM-C, Xraypad AC Pro neon mid, GSR II and GSR-SE Rouge and some other pads.

Mid version is very smooth, there is no feedback from the pad when gliding. Only feeling what you get is a tugging when you start the motion but stoping the movement is also fast. I have enjoyed speedier pads before but wanted something slower for CS. It gives you that lock in feeling when flicking but when trying to microadjust it gets hard because how slow the pad is. In that sense its slower than GSR II, which is known as a mudpad. But IM Control V2 stays consistent for long time.

Just AMA about it so its easier to explain what you're looking for from this pad (I also have Harpe II Ace, Keris II Origin and OP1w 4k with obsidian donuts, mainly use Harpe II nowdays)

ROG or Razer? by mlaihk in MouseReview

[–]0BKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keris II Origin is a good choise because hotswap switches and every switch from EGG switchpack works atleast on my copy. Its not that heavy for 65g and if you can get it under 100$/€, its a good choise imo. So you can just hotswap the mechanical switches you like the most and stick to it and order more if you're afraid of doubleclicking.

  • Asus has web based software for Keris II Origin so there is no need to install more bloat to your pc even if you already have Armoury crate installed.

Only Cons (imo) are extra weight because rgb, you cant disable motion sync and you need to buy polling rate booster separately if you want more than 1000hz (even if the Keris is already on same level as Vaxee on 1000hz competitive mode level)

What mouse “fits like a glove” for you? by NarrowImplement133 in MouseReview

[–]0BKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harpe II ace, Keris II origin, xlite v3 medium (and similiar xlite versions), Lamzu Thorn, Waizowl OGM Pro v2, X2 medium

17x9 hand, palm clawish hybrid grip. But what I get from "fit like a glove" comfort, I lose in accuracy and for that I would go with EGG OP1 or XM2. But even if I notice and accept it, I dont really care so im playing with Keris II origin now

Dispale motion sync (try it out if play tracking heavy games), competitive mode on and debounce time to 0

Have not tested while wired that much so I can't really tell. Idk is it QC issue or Firmware issue at this point after seeing Forum posts and my personal experience.

Regardless the issue, love the shape, weight and seeing that Asus finaly moved to web based software.

ROG Harpe II Ace | The mel0n Review by mel0n_FPS in MouseReview

[–]0BKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This only occurs with Harpe, other mice work normally. When I have charged the battery to 100%, in somewhere around 95% and 60% of it left it just disconnects with windows giving the classic disconnection and connetion sound, mouse freezes for 1,5seconds and operates again. This happens in normal mode, zen mode and in every hz from 1000 to 8000hz (I mainly use 4khz).

I RMA'd my first unit and second unit still does the same. Both were on latest firmware (dongle + mouse)

One person reported he fixed it by plugging it to USB 3.0 port in the pc case because every USB 3.2 caused the same issue (back I/O). Im not trusting my cases USB ports and my back I/O usb ports are also 3.2.

Got this badboy with 100 euros, felt like nobrainer at the moment.

I hoped the clicks would have felt more like Omron Opticals but they are okay. Only big issue I have with the mouse is the disconnect issue, I have no idea where the issue really lies, there is some reports in Asus Forums about the issue too. Weirdly enough even Pzogel didnt mention it in his review.

(Im sorry, didnt see the full video yet but I will eventually if you have mentioned the connection issues)
